sup, i was wondering, dose dressing up like someone in a video game count as cosplay? (IE: the heavy from TF2?)

Mister_E

Yes, there was a The Heavy cosplayer last year, I don't have any photos on hand but I saw him have the Gun and eveything.
A.K.A. "Mr. Zeon Flag" Laughing Man MK. VI: with Power Ranger Gloves, Mustache and Zeon Flag in hand is 100%

sooo.. dose dressing up as a racer from gran turismo 5 count? (friends question)
my question is will fanime 2009 allow you to bring bats in? (scout)

^ you'd have to get it peace bonded

DANG IT, NO BONK to the heavy!, so... how about the race suit idea? i'd bet it would be match with a round of initial d 3 after fanime at golfland:D

I see no problem with going in a Racing outfit.
If someone sees you dressed up like Jeff Gordon, then there might be some odd looks might come. (Anyone like that.)
but you can tell them you're cosplaying from the Nascar or Daytona video game.  (that is just a tip.)

Also, Fanime does have the Initial D video game in the Game Room. They had version 3 last year and Version 4 this year.
Are they going to bring it back? I do not know.

To answer to your first question:
Yes. People cosplay from video games all the time.
Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts cosplays are extremely popular right now.
Also, we have seen people who cosplay as Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Super Smash Bros., The Legend of Zelda..
It goes on and on. =D
