I just got this email, and nearly laughed to death.

    (3) To make arrangement for me to come over to your country to further my education and to secure a resident permit in your country.

This one time my friend's mom got an email saying that a guy would wire her 2 million dollars because she was related to a supposed late millionare.  All she needed to do was give him her card digits.

That's because a lot of them are based in Africa. :0 They can't be easily traced and it's hard to get after them once you've found out you've been scammed.

I got one that said a distant relative with the same last name died and he was filthy rich and I inherited his money. I actually believed it (note that this was when I first started using the internets, so I was new to everything) then my mom told me its not real. It made me a sad panda...

I feel so bad for the people who believe that bullshit. T-T

I got a spam mail like that stating something about a distant relative wanting to wire me money. It was funny becuase my family history is ...unique, to say the least. That is what deterred me right away, they are quite funny to read though.
