Twister, Telephone, and other such games

So there are a lot of children's games that require a lot of people to play, but for most of us, in our normal lives, there is no one to play them with. On that note, I propose a twister tornament!! =D I realise that that could be dangerous with some of those complicated cosplays, so...people will have to wear simpler ones or normal clothes.

Also! We should play telephone(where you say something and pass it on until it is beyond recognition)! If we organized it we could have it going throughout the entire con, then announce what it was and what it turned into at the end. If that is even possible... But we could just play a short game too, with a line of people in some room.

And Another One! There is this game where a bunch of people link hands and then twist their arms and legs up. They call "Doctor, Doctor!" and another person comes in and unties them without disconnecting their hands. Does anyone  know that one?

Would anyone be interested in that? (Also...is this in the right forum? ^^;; It is a suggestion...)

Telephone would be fun to play in the Masquerade line. We have nothing to do for a couple hours anyways. ^^

I say e-mail tabletop-at-fanime.com or something and if you're lucky, they might be able to get something going. They're usually good for this type of thing and them being in a widely-spaced room, it's workable.

Or if not, someone could always try and get one of those games going themselves unofficially in the fountain area or something.

Man, next year I could probably get a telephone game going in the masquerade line...holy crap.

Seriously, since i'm working line control, I could so do it...

Just curious, were you also doing the line control for the musicfest on saturday at Fanime 2008?

This sig isnt true anymore...I have to wait for a bit...

If this does happen, where do you think you'll host the games? Like some games like twister requires some space... Not much but they still do.
Is this going to be like an official games meet up? Or like just a group of people together unofficially?

lol, cosplay Hokey-Pokey! =D

=0 Actually, that would be so fun. Someone with have to get that song on a boom box. xD (lawlboomboxsoancient) And we could just do it by the fountains.

Wah... -,- *has no courage* I don't really know what I would say... I'll look into it. Thanks!

@Rei-Rei

I'm not sure if it can be "official" and so I don't know where it could be held yet. I'm in the process of working that out. ^^;;

Long post whoa

Shi_Musouka

You could just bring it up as a game suggestion and they would try and organize something with it, if you wanted a more official Fanime-ish game event.

Or you could just organize it on your own as a more unofficial fun thing for random bypassing attendees. Hopefully if you plan it out accordingly and know where to have it and stuff, you won't get hassled by staff.

I dunno, I'm just throwing out random suggestions and possibilities since it's basically endless.

Is that written: tabletop  @  fanime.com?   (I'm slightly inept at 11:45 at night *yawn*)

For twister we need to request some people to bring in a few mats, or hey (to any one reading this) do you know where to buy a good old version of twister? I used to have one and that's why we thought the idea was plausible, but after some looking, its currently lost... If we have a tournement we'll have to make sure people know that the con can't be held responible for the awkward events of the very game and how players choose to carry out moves.

We could have a sign up list up on the forums if it gets approved.

Possible places for twister tourney:
Gaming room if we can schedule through the con's events
Near fountain if we use maybe three mats at the most at a time?
Probably no main hallways oranything...

I'll email the admin when I'm awake enough to process. G'night... [crap. my math homework was so boring. I'm finishing that in the morning.  asymptotes and limits are such tedious little details... practice is good, but man!] *zzzz*

Shi_Musouka

I just put -at- instead of @ because sometimes, spambots can pick up these e-mail addresses and bombard them with viagra links(Do they still do this anymore btw?).

I dunno, it's just a preference thing so yea. lol. Either way works.

SangSeiku

M'kay, I emailed.  *crosses fingers*  ;)

Twister tourney will be so fun...  -.-'

-_-  I hope it works out.

WE could probably start a round of telephone without any real permission, and as long as the group isn't too big for DoctorDoctor, we could pretty much do that anywhere... in the gaming hall or out near the fountains... behind the giant outer badge line just to piss off the people waiting in line woith the fact we've already gotten in. KIDDING! *hides for anyone who isn't preregistering* But, seriously, we could just start that randomly, twist about for 5 minutes and ask a random passerby to unknot us all. :)

SangSeiku

It feels like its been a long time...

I haven't gotten a reply so I'm wondering if I got the right email...
Is there any other way to contact the admin about the twister tourney?  Or has the entire subject jumped subforum wihtout me paying attention? (Where would it get moved anyway?)

Anyway... does anyone know where we could get ahold of some good oldfashion versions of twister?  Any stores you've recently seen them in?
