How about the Umpteen remakes of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"?

And how about the upcoming remake of "The Day The Earth Stood Still"?  With  Keanu Reeves?

lol Just came back from Big-Lots, where I could have bought the 2002 remake of "Rollerball" for the bargain price of $3.00.

Word on the street is, we have a new fear coming...

in the form of a Rocky Horror Picture Show Remake. Be afraid. My guess is they figured Tim Curry was too damn sexy for this younger generation of movie go-ers.

That might be good. Just wait until it comes out.

Sorry but this film already reeks of epic fail.

I can just see it.
"Dude!  Klaatu Barada Nikto."
Or to paraphrase the original short story: " I Am Klatu, and this is Knut."  BANG! (rifle shot to the head).  "Whoa! dude I've been shot!"

Sydney White and the Seven Dorks

...i dunno why, but there's something about that movie that just irks me.

I'm getting pretty sick of all The Parent Trap remakes out there. It just seems like it's been done to death...

I really don't think you can say it's one of the 'top worst movie remakes' without actually seeing the movie. Sure it looks bad but maybe it will manage to just be kind of bad and not the 'worst movie ever'.

Gatsby

I actually enjoy the new Time Machine movie, but the book is a million times better in my opinion.

Shinsengumi

I hated the Time Machine (2003) version, I like the old version more.

Land of The Dead
Wait a minute, is this the Land of the Dead starring John lequizamo and Dennis Hopper? When did the original come out?
Anywho, who hates the remake of "Bad News Bears." I hated that movie. Sure the plots the same, but it didn't have any of the elements that made the original great.

the remake, not the original. The original Romero films were the best ones.

I've never seen the original, I've only seen the new one and read the book. How closely does the movie follow the book?

I think the point was that Land of the Dead isn't a remake.  It's a sequel and should go to the sequels thread.  There were remakes of Night and Dawn though, but Land was a sequel.

whoops, my bad. Land of the Dead has a small connection to Day of the Dead, with the Big Daddy/Bub comparison.

Well, there's a Time Machine, and a main character named George.  After that not much. The first half of the movie isn't all that bad, it kinda falls apart after the time traveler reaches the 800th century.
