Vincent Valentine 2.0

Greetings, I'm seeking some advice for my cosplay for Fanimé 09. For Fanimé 08 I dressed as Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy 7, and I'd like to cosplay Vincent again. Some of you may remember my cosplay as the worse of the two Vincents in this picture:

Now, I was missing the pistol, gauntlet and golden boots due to a few problems:
1. I couldn't bring a replica weapon through customs between England and America
2. I couldn't build a functioning gauntlet and boot coverings using household items.
Amongst some others.

So, if anybody can give me any advice on materials for building the gauntlet and boots and provide any necessary links, please?

FYI, the other vincent in the picture couldnt use her gun prop because the wep policy or something, she was real upset. So you know if you make a gun prop make sure it follows the weapons policy ^^

About the shoes and gauntlet, maybe i can get my friend to post how she did hers, shes the other vincent. ^^ good luck

Thank you ^_^ Somebody suggested using plasticard but I can't shape the damn stuff...
