Distance - Long shot party
Replay(boom track) - SHINee
Blue Bird - Ikimono Gakari
Always(english version) - Big Bang
Dakota - A rocket to the moon
Hello - Burning tree project

None of these are Japanese, but I'm requesting them anyway, because they're awesome to dance to. And there wasn't enough swing last year.

Swing: Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Lee Press-On and the Nails, and all of the stuff that's actually from the 20s. (Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, etc)

Waltzes: anything by Strauss.

Oh, you MUST play Final Fantasy 8 music. Especially the moonlight waltz (I believe that is what it's called...)

Personally, I like it if music was traditional ball room music, but I am sure most won't agree with me. There could also be a little bit of other types of music; maybe more upbeat. The macarena or line dancing would be fun too. I think it's fun to learn the ballroom dances and then dance them at the ball. Maybe there could be more fox trot or two step themed music. I don't recall many playing last year.

We do offer Ballroom lessons throughout the weekend specifically for those who want to learn and then dance at the Ball.

Do you have any Fox Trot or Night Club Two Step songs that you would like to hear?

I don't have mp3s for now so I'm just going to make suggestions. Any comments on whether people would find the songs interesting or not would be appreciated though ^w^

Final Fantasy X/Nobou Uematsu - To Zanarkind - Traditional Waltz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHYhRz-ZFss

I know Final Fantasy VIII's Waltz for the Moon was already mentioned, and played last year. This is a Viennese Waltz though, making it twice as fast and harder to dance to as a waltz song, however it's really good for Night Club 2-Step! Anyway, if we are considering Viennese Waltz songs, I have one more:

Gackt - Illness Illusion - Viennese Waltz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThVotnOBuX8
---
Rain - Sad Tango - Tango http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIGnY3Jt-V8
---
Final Fantasy - Swing de Chocobo - Swing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3F3YZDN2lM
---
Frank Sinatra - Fly Me to the Moon (another rendition of this song can be heard as the ending to Neon Genesis Evangelion) - Fox Trot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t3yjTTJFNI

Would people be interested in any contemporary American songs used for Ballroom? Someone else had mentioned k-pop or other Korean music, and I know I'd certainly be interested in that!

Far Away by Nickelback is a great slow song. >w<
It's so romance-y.
Isn't it?
I don't know what dance it should be for though.

Maybe Night Club 2-step

Yaminogame

These are supposed to be good for Fox trot: "You Make Me Feel So Young" - Frank Sinatra
"I've Got You Under My Skin" - Frank Sinatra
"Let's Call The Whole Thing Off" - Ella Fitzgerald/Louis Armstrong
"Night and Day" - Dionne Warwick

At the bottom of the page there is some midi of swing music: http://swing-music.com/coolstuff.html

And here's a huge list for two-step: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Wil/2step.htm

I liked the songs the convention used last year for the ball and practice.

Udon

Song: Cantarella - Artist: Kaito/Miku (Vocaloid) - Fast Song. Link: http://www.imeem.com/diamondalissa/music/3S4EkJIn/kaito-miku-hatsune-cantarella/

Did you need me to get a copy of the MP3 and e-mail it to you? I don't have it, but I can try to find it.
Cosplaying: Rossiu (Timeskip; TTGL), Suzaku Kururugi (Knight of Rounds; Code Geass), Marie Mjolnir (Soul Eater).

boots01

Udon, that would be appreciated if you could.  I can't promise it will make it into the mix for this year, but if not, there's always next year.
