People who treat others like shit because they think they're a lot smarter, when in fact they're not.

This is a major pet peeve of mine as well.

Really, that just goes in a huge loop.

Stupid people who treat other stupid people like sh*t because they strongly believe that they're smarter, whereas there are...

Stupid people who deny all possibility that they may be stupid or flawed when challenged, as if it'd be impossible that they may be wrong.

Fact is, most people you encounter probably think they're smarter than the average person. It's a rare occasion that you meet someone who actually acknowledges and admits to their own stupidity or ignorance. Everyone feels that they're smarter, more mature, unique, all that stupid crap, wherein fact they're most likely not. I could go on with my logic as to why that is, but f*ck, who cares. There's plenty of reasoning to lead someone to think that they're smarter-- just as how in truth, I find myself of average intelligence by my own standards... and yet, I'm constantly put up to encounter an abundance of stupid people who really make me question what the standard really is.

I might as well come down to the conclusion that people are stupid.

So, pet peeve? When stupidity pulls something ironic. It's kind of like some sort of cruel, mildly entertaining joke, but irritating nonetheless.

P.S. @ RaddaX2: No one likes you.

Your mostly right on the first point, however there are some extreme exceptions; the type who do nothing with their lives except read/watch/write/ live for porn and act superior because of it, saying; " Well I've just become so bored with everything/one else. No one understands my brilliance."

Yea, I do know people liek that.

The secodn point, I have to disagree. I don't care how irriatating or eve nlife-changing said irony is, I love irony so hard that I appreciate none-the-less.

As I often say " I love irony so hard I want to marry and have a family of little ironies" and I detest he idea of marriage.

Well, er, independence can describe several things for a person. A teenager living under their parents' household can still be described as independent as a personality trait, as in, capable of taking care of themselves and their own business to the extent that they're able to, but they wouldn't be legally independent.

Nah, it still falls under the category.

My bad, I had worded it wrong. No, irony itself is wonderful. What I had meant is when stupid people pull something ironic, they tend to persistently deny, or don't even realize the irony of their stupidity.

yes, i'm aware of the different 'definitions' that, hence the latter part of that bullet point :P for further elaboration, i'm talking about the kids that are always like... "i got mah own cell phone. i'm independent 'cuz its MIIIIEEN", those that who think that just because they own a luxury, they can function in life perfectly without any help. yes yes? :)

It works the other way around too. Having your own place does not make you indepdant either.

My sister got a job and her own place before I did. I kept hearing how she is soo much more independant than myself.

Mom bought her first car for her, as well as her cell phone and occasionally helped pay her rent. This is because my sister spends all her money on gas-gussling road trips and bar hoping.
Sometimes, she would stay with Mom and I she didn't cook ( she can't) she refused to get off her ass and get her own soda and in one particular occasion, asked me to close a door three ft from her and across the apartment from me.

I now live on my own and I do not ask for a thing. If i run out of money it's my own fault and I don't get to buy anything I want.

My sister is still as bad as ever, but I think my mother has finally figured things out.

Yea, that's right you can't understand me because there was one misplaced letter in that sentence.
Seriously, I know my typing is attrocious. I normally check it, but I had to run.

Ah, right. Then I do agree on that point..it is still funny.

Er, I was referring to the fact that you know people like you've described.

Those are just stupid kids. Your point is that your pet peeve is when stupid kids claim to be fully independent, when they're clearly not-- but what you had typed was that underage kids aren't capable of being independent because of them living under their parents' roof and being supported by them financially. It was just that slight difference in meaning that I was clarifying, etc. Ah, who cares.

Teens that are failing school because they don't do their work and later ask the teacher "What can I do to raise my grade?"

You'd be surprised...

I've been going to the same doctor since I was about ten, and he still doesn't say my name right. We just haven't bothered to correct him anymore, since he doesn't seem to even try to remember how it's said, even though we've told him on so many occasions.

Its the same with many teachers I've had. They have so many names to remember though, it never really bothers me.

I don't even bother anymore.

With Asian names, there's the right way, and the "white" way.

When concerts are sold out and you've driven like, 20+ miles to get there and you don't have pre-bought tickets. =.=

I totally didn't think it would get sold out...
