is Synchronicity Len not formal enough?

I would have to say that the cosplay is not formal enough, mostly due to the shirt that he wears underneath.

Rin_Chan - The dress would be appropriate for the BWBall.

I'm sorry if this was already answered somewhere else in the thread, but what are the rules for heels? Like not over a certain heel height or the heels can't be the thin pointy kind (in case of stepping on peoples toes or damaging the dance floor)?

Also, would this dress be acceptable?

This year, we are asking that the heel of your shoe has a tip that is no smaller than the size of a nickel for safety reasons.

And as long as the dress is not shorter than 2 inches above the knee, it looks appropriate to me!

Hi,

I was wondering if this outfit would be appropriate for the ball.

Or would this outfit be preferable?

I like the first one (black sailor uniform) better, but if the 2nd one (white long dress) is more suitable, I will go with that one.

Thanks for your time!

Wabbit98

The second one would be preferable.

Question, would you be wearing the wings as well?  I am only concerned that if the floor, and room, is crowded they might get damaged.

Thanks! But just in case is the black uniform (the first one) still within the acceptable dress code?

Also, I probably would not wear the wings, since it might be crowded like you said.

The only concern that we would have about the black one is the skirt length and the shoes.  The skirt length needs to be no more than two inches above the knee (meaning no short skirts or mini-skirts).  That is really the only thing that I could see being as an issue with the black outfit http://i.imgur.com/JdTyH.jpg  Since it is hard to tell from the picture how long the skirt is.

Just wanted to know if this year to get into the ball one would have to wear the colors of either black and or white (and follow all the other codes as well). Or if colors are still acceptable, just so i know long enough in advance so as to get or make a black or white gown  :)

Cbellsoup,

As always, the Black and White Ball title of the dance refers to the fact that we would like it to be a little more formal than other dances.  However, you do not have to restrict the color of your clothing to just Black and White.  Any color clothing will be fine as long as it follows the dress code guide lines.  Do keep in mind though that you will be dancing with other people so wear bright neon yellow may not be the most easy color on the eyes when you someone is dancing with you. :D  I hope that helps.

I've seen at least a couple people (including a friend also cosplaying Ciel in a similar dress) in huge ball gowns for Black and White. Do be wary of how big the skirt is however since the room will be quite crowded.

I'm a young female, and was wondering if I could wear a black button up formal collored shirt, possibly with a monochrome black/white tie and a pair of black dress slacks?

MidnightPrincess94,

The dress will be fine for the Black and White Ball.  But as Alyxiane said, the dance floor can get crowded so be aware that people may accidently step on the dress if it is all the way to the ground.  I have seen other instances where a person's dance partner may step on their dress and/or the person wearing the dress tripped over it.  Just some things to consider.  But the dress looks great for the Black and White Ball.

Amandald98,

Crossplay is fine for Black and White Ball as long as you still adhere to the dress code.  A button up shirt, slacks, and shoes that are not sneakers or boots are the bare minimum.  Ties are optional but suggested.  :)  I hope that helps.
