Hello, everyone and welcome to the Shin Megami Tensei gathering thread for Fanime 2009.

So, with talk between friends of Persona cosplay, and a growing number of people doing persona 4 cosplay. I thought it would be a good idea to start up a gathering thread.

Whether from Persona, Digital devil saga, Raiduo, or Nocturne. All forms Shinten/Megaten are welcome.

If you're interested in attending. Please post what character you're planning to cosplay and which game they're from.

Fanime will be taking group pictures during the Gathering this year. If you do not want to be included in those pictures please step aside for those photos. By remaining with the group when the pictures are being taken you give your consent to be photographed.

I'll be cosplaying as both the P3 MC and Beauty Pageant Yosuke this year at Fanime, but I think I'll bring BP!Yosuke to the gathering.

So yeah, I'll be there.

Oh.. there is a thread. =D The cosplay my boyfriend and I are doing are from Persona 3. I will be Mitsuru Kirijo and my boyfriend is Akihiko Sanada.

I know, right? I've been waiting for a thread to come up for months, but didn't want to make one myself because I didn't want to organize the gathering.

Anyways, good to know there will be more P3 cosplayers this Fanime. I was afraid it had been overshadowed by P4.

I'm glad to see some other cosplayers besides persona 4. I would still like to see some other cosplayers show up from series besides persona. But you can't complain to much right?

And I guess its to be expected, given that P4 is the newest MegaTen installation, but I agree. It'd be nice to see some cosplayers from the other games as well.

So people are thinking about making the gathering happen around the fountains, right? ...Considering what I'm cosplaying, I'll have to cross my fingers that it isn't particularly windy...

Well, if you're worried about any accidental flashing. You can invest in a pair of spankies. They're the little shorts cheerleaders wear. If you can't find those. Then you can buy ladies briefs from walmart. I bought a package of two(white and black) When you wear them under a skirt, they look like you're wearing shorter bike shorts, but a more comfy fit.

and how do you think I feel? I'm gonna have petal wings and peg legs. @_@

Haha, touche! I can't wait to see that by the way, I always love seeing actual Persona cosplays.

And thanks a bunch for the suggestion, that sounds perfect. Too bad there isn't a WalMart nearby... I'll try looking elsewhere for them though. Accidental panty-shots are one less thing I have to worry about now.

Well, if you can't make it to a Walmart. They should be easily found on most clothing sites. Just google up ladies briefs. Macy's and Nordstroms came up. So it's safe to assume any major chain store like JCPenny's, Macy's, Nordstroms should have them. Just basically any store that sells underwear really. All else fails, you can order online.

Thank you for all the additional info. I'll remember to pick up some this weekend while I do some fabric shopping...

Also, a friend of mine is somewhere on this forum but hasn't posted yet, but yeah, he'll probably be showing up to the gathering as preferably Teddie (bear costume), but if that doesn't work out for him then he'll go as Junpei.

But if you could go ahead and put him down as Teddie on the list, that'd be great. :J His username is Ciel. Thanks!

Just bumping this up since its been a while; also, there was a thread a while ago asking about people who were going to cosplay from Persona, and some people assumed it was the gathering thread and started asking to be put down as so-and-so. I'll find the thread and link them here.
