Me and my friends are planning to take the BART and the BUS to get there. I'm used to taking the AC Transit in the Bay Area, which is around 85 Cents a ride. Is it different in San Jose since they use a different bus system? If so, how much?

VTA(San Jose's Transit):

Adult(+18) 5.00$ Day Pass
Child(17 And Below) 1.50$ One Ride

LIGHTRAIL:

Adult(+18): 1.75$ 2 Hour Pass

Disabled/medi(Care/Cal?)/Senior .75$
Hope this helps :3

The post below reminds me of my friends story, Fare inspection time, half the lightrail got checked then his friend got caught and got a long talk and warning. by the time the next stop came, the unchecked half of the lightrail got off quickly on that stop XD

Also, note that for the light rail you have to have a ticket, either from a vending machine at the station or a day pass purchased on a VTA bus, and fare inspectors will periodically check and slap fines on anyone without a ticket.

Oh, and for the light rail they also offer an "Excursion Pass", which is $3.50 for light rail only, good for 8 hours from the time of purchase.
