I was so happy during the Fanime time.
And then I got back to school and I was called gay, kids in my science class would go all "haha, I bet she likes the -insert part of the male reproductive system here-" and such.
I hate my school.
Dx
I needs more Fanime.

There wouldn't even need to be a group. :I If even one more person came with me, I could beat the crap out of them.
People at my school are so stupid.
If you aren't a guy interested in skateboarding or rap; or a girl whose into short-shorts and cheer leading, then your a geek pretty much.

Well here's the crappy part about my PCD:

I feel so distant from my non-con friends now. I feel like the only non-family I want to be friends with right now are my con friends. I've had a crush on a classmate for a year, and going to Fanime kinda...retarded that crush, because she's not an anime fan, let alone a congoer.

I agree with that.
Actually, I've been having the same opinion...con-friends have a LOT more in common with me than my friends I've met in school. Of course some of them still like anime...but not a congoer. (I know, OMIGOSH).
A really good way is to start a Facebook event or group and just invite everyone you know. If they go, good for you and them! xD

I really think that Fanime (and any other con, but Fanime in particular) has a friendly atmosphere. You can walk up to complete strangers and strike up a conversation like nobody's business. That can't happen anywhere else without it feeling weird. Take advantage of this and talk! :)

I'm actually not so depressed right now. I'm very happy about how this years con turned out. It'll probably hit me in the middle of the year sometime though because i'll remember fanime and want to go back again.

Yeah, the Facebook idea is a good one.  There's already a Fanime group here, though it still has '08 in the title.

I've had that happen to me. At this point, though I'm not actually that nerdy, I've resolved that if I had a preference on who to crush on, it'd have to be someone who at least has a measure of nerdness to them.

unfortunately huge bursts of romantic emotion don't work that way.

I really enjoy Fanime, I really enjoy coming up as well. Salinas is really boring nothing to do but be bored, one of the things I hate going back.
