wishing i was still part of the gaming industry I've heard ALOT of buzz from websites, G-tv, G4, 1up and all the epic gaming sites.

So far I've heard/seen/ rumored about:

PSP GO! system  [meh?]

Microsoft dashboard will have Facebook and Twitter updates! [Wtf?]

Halo 3 OSDT footage [Woot!]

Dead Rising 2 & Left4dead 2 Trailers [ Yay for the zombie Apocalypse! :D ]

Metal Gear... Rising? on xbox 360?

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

Discuss. Rant. Repeat.

Anyone looking forward to any specific announcements and/or epic games coming up in the year ahead?

Games, Friends & Fanime oh my! :D

Dagger-6

Assassin's Creed 2: Altair's got a gun!

Splinter Cell Conviction:  Sam Fisher starring as Jack Baeur

Mass Effect 2: More lesbian alien love from Bioware!

Star Wars Old Republic:  Suck it, WoW.

Liquid

Wii Vitality Sensor! YES! YES! FINALLY!!! *end sarcasm*

Seriously though.... I'm really looking forward to Mario Galaxy 2.

I am very sad that a MGS title was announced for Xbox. That makes me want to kill someone. Although, it's only Raiden...so maybe I can forgive it?

Metroid for the Wii. I haven't seen screenshots, but I heard it looks amazing.

I'm really looking forward to what Sony has to say.

Don't hate on the 360.  MGS love deserves to be spread to every system!

You shall be smote for your blasphemy!

MGS FOR THE PSP! Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker! Looks amazing.  :o

FFXIII in Spring 2010 for Xbox and PS3.

BUT.... they just announced FFXIV ONLINE.... (2010 release also.)

Grrr...I just quit FFXI. I don't want to have to get into another MMO. Damnit. -_-;

Yay, I might actually play through a FF game now.  I prefer the more sci-fi-ish setting.

Though I do have a PS2 so I don't have an excuse for now playing the older ones other than not having any time for games these days. -_-

Microsoft's Project Natal...it's like Wii 2.0 for the 360...some stuff looks cool, but I think driving a car/skateboarding like they do in their "vision" video would have a diminished impact since there's no tactile feedback.

I do like being able to sort through things Minority Report style with hand gestures.  Of course, in my experience the crap never reads my hand gestures right, even when I overexaggerate them...

Highlights:

Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV  - Not too excited about another FF MMO, but they can't do worse than FFXI.

Final Fantasy VII for download to PS3 & PSP

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Modern Warfare 2

Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker for PSP

God of War III

Super Mario Bros Wii – With an option for a 4 player co-op.

Maybe the new Wii Sports Resort game?

KOTOR – I never played the others, but I heard good things about them. This one is stated to have voiceovers for everything and everyone. Being as the game is a huge MMO, this is a pretty large task.

Tons of games coming for PS3 and PSP.

Alan Wake looks nice.

Lowlights:
Everyone showing off motion sensor software.

Red Steel 2 – I played the first one and it gave me motion sickness. It is the only game ever to do this to me. Most likely because when you point the Wiimote it moves the screen wherever you point your gun, instead of using arrows. FPS games were just not meant to be played like that in my opinion. Everyone I've known to play the game got a bit of motion sickness. I think it only sold as much as it did due to it being one of the first FPS games released for the Wii. NOTE: Although I did hear they resolved this issue for #2.

Wii Vitality Sensor - Seriously, wtf?

Metal Gear Solid: Rising being announced for the Xbox 360 – Although after some research I've read it's also coming to PS3 and PC.

Final Fantasy XIII being showcased by Microsoft. The title went from being a PS3 exclusive to being showcased by Microsoft two years in a row.

The Beatles: Rock Band – To quote Kotaku: "it just felt like...Rock Band, only playing Beatles songs. Same mechanics, same display, same instruments. It's instantly familiar. Perhaps a little too familiar."

QFT  That seems to be the big thing in all the news reports I've seen.

Actually, as I understand it and viewing the trailer, we'll be getting harmonic vocals with this iteration.  Yeah, familiar, but with an interesting twist in having multiple vocals going.

Ok so not sure if this was at E3 or not since it's coming out in about 2 weeks, but is anyone as excited as I am about the Ghostbusters game?

That is pretty much the only big difference. And do people not forget how hard it is to get people on the mic in the first place? Now we need 3? lol

True, it is hard to get people to take the mic.  However, it's still a step up from what Activision has done so far with the Guitar Hero band spinoffs.  At least they added something to the actual gameplay.

I always go for the mic, but most people don't want me to.  :'(

Me too, but people usually let me. It's just that I don't want to be stuck on the mic all the time. I wanna play guitar and drums too, but nobody else wants the mic.....or I don't want them to have the mic because their singing makes me want to stick a screwdriver in my ear canal.

A new Ninja Gaiden on the PS3 AGAIN!?! ARRGH! GOD DAMMIT!! Why does Team Ninja do this?! Its like a big middle finger to the fans! Momjii is in it and Ayane in new (sexy) costume!!! It better be dual platform...

I'm exicted about the new Metroid though...

I'm angered that Dead Space Extraction will be on the Wii, again a big middle finger to the fans.

Sure am looking forward to Bioshock 2...

Same with Left 4 Dead 2...

Jerry

people are already calling the 'new' metroid other M = M.O.M  *sigh* :P

Castlevania revamped by Kojima? whoa. and voiced by PATRICK STEWART? double win. :D

'new' super mario bros on wii? = i totally loved the DS version, tho despite rave reviews i personally didnt care for Mario Galaxy [and now mario Galaxy 2.... ]

I think Patrick Stewart isn't that great.  He has a wonderful voice, but from what I've heard he also asks to be paid a lot, for very little work (like his grand 5 minutes of time in Oblivion).

I have not seen much of E3, but from what I've seen i have concluded this:

PSP Go!: Hackable or GTFO. And make a yellow one.

Final Fantasy Stuff: Same old, same old.

KOTOR: That interests me. I need to see some actual gameplay though.

Halo: Reach : A Halo prequel sounds like it could be cool.
