Cosplay Ideas for 5'4'' girl with short hair

I want to do cosplay that is not too advanced to make, but decent.
I have sewed costumes few times, but not much worked with alterations.

I am wondering if there are any cosplay ideas for me to do.
I have few in mind, but it's always good to have varieties to choose from.

here are some of my characteristics for reference:
I am Japanese
I am mostly happy
I am outgoing
I love singing
I laugh alot
I like to be outside

easy costumes could be something like make pikachu ears and tail and paws and wear them with some kind of cute outfit...

moderately difficult could be a schoolgirl, there are uniform type costumes for various anime series out there, do a google image search til you find one.

since you're Japanese, small in build and undoubtedly adorable, you could do pretty much any character.  it really depends on what type of people you want to impress at cons.
