Nope... no one remembers 3 shows that are still airing currently.

Jerry

trying something older like:

robotech [usa] macross,  voltron, kimba the white lion, speed racer,  G1 transformers, Tekkaman Blade, Ronin Warriors... etc.

and other good live action like :

Gojira [Godzilla] , Ultraman,  G1 Power rangers.

I'm sure thats somewhat before these "kids" time. :P

Prince Planet (Yuusei Shounen Papii) and Brave Raideen (Yuusha Raidiin).  Um, yeah, I watched 'em back, way back when (early or mid '70s).
Life is too important to take seriously.  Seriously.

POKEMON! What an action packed television show! That and Tenchi Muyo. But of course, I wasn't watching anime until more like 13 or 14. Does that count as a kid?

For me was Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman) and Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato) in the late 70's.

Voltron and Star Blazers (as it was known here).  Those are the only two that actually hit the local TV stations in my area when I grew up.  I also want to say I remember The Little Prince as well...if my memory serves it was on Nickelodeon way back when. I know I spent more than one morning with that on for my younger sister's sake.  Of the three, I remember Voltron best. Prince Lotor was always a favorite character, and incidentally influenced certain costuming choices waaaay later in my life. :)

My husband, who was raised in Italy, had FAR more anime he remembered (lucky guy!).  Stuff like Candy Candy, Captain Harlock, Devilman, Doraemon..to weird ones like Tiger Man, Capitan Futuro (which I think was Captain Future here) and Ōgon Bat. And..that wasn't even all of what he told me when I asked. Made my head spin!
2012 Costumes (or so we hope!)
Ayukawa, Miime, Oscar, Yuria, D'Eon

As a kid (Early to late 90's):
Voltron
Sailor Moon
Kimba The White Lion
Transformers (though, technically not an anime)
Tenchi
Digimon
Pokemon
Bayblade (I remember when it was cool to have the stadiums and little tops >.< oh the memories)
Kiki's Delivery Service
Speed Racer

As a tween (Early 2000's):
Inuyasha (regrettably)
Dragonball Z (yeah, got into it late)
Yu-Gi-Oh
Ranma 1/2 (again, late)
Saiyuki (still love it today)

That's all I can remember anyway. I didn't know what anime was until middle school. They were all just cartoons to me at first.
