Pro-Pocky Movement

GOT HYPE.

Shionami

A challenge of sorts will be posted within the next couple of weeks or so to determine the winner. I'm a bit swamped with exams at the moment and I haven't thought of a challenge yet. It won't be anything like drawing me a picture or doing me some sort of favor but something everyone could participate in and have a fair chance of winning.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
"Your hair!... She punched the highlights out of your hair!"

Shionami

Alright, so I'm done with stressful exams so let's start the game. For the next week or so I'm going to post a question each day and the first person to answer correctly in the thread will receive a point. The time of day in which I post the question will be random. A tie breaker question will be posted if at the end a tie results. Today's question will be a bonus:

Name one thing special about April 20th.  ;D 2 points to whoever can tell me the special thing related to danboard that happened today.
"Your hair!... She punched the highlights out of your hair!"

I saw a picture of the bot with Suiseiseki green and red eyes. Plus, April 20th is the unofficial National Pot Smoker's Day. 4/20.

KyuuBob

Only thing I could think of is that 4/20 is Weed day. ; 3;"

Um...while I admire your attention to results...from what I remember, the contest was based on who got it right first. Not who had the most free time on their hands. So yeah, you win. All your other info, POINTLESS.

TC X0 Lt 0X

Yes I put it up with the assumed idea that it would be pointless, but of course I could not resist naming off virtually every important event that has occured on this date in known history. That and Wikipedia made listing them so easy =P

KyuuBob: +1 Bonus day reply, also relevant answer
Aphaestus: +1 Bonus day reply, also relevant answer/-10 HITLER WAS A BAD, BAD MAN. D:<

Note: Just because it's THAT 4/20 does not mean I support it; let's keep this thread relatively family friendly? I knew people would post that as a response though. Ha ha ha.

Official contest day [1]
I happen to know someone in real life who has posted in this thread. Find her/his Deviantart page and post a link to one of his/her deviations.

Criteria for points in today's challenge:
-Your answer won't count if it's a duplicate of any of the previous posts.
-3 points to first place, 2 to second place, 1 to third, -1 to 4th, and additional negative points to additional answer posts (General discussion does not count, so don't be afraid to comment on what you see if you've already used up your try.)
-1 try per person, negative points rule applies
-Bonus: By observing his/her gallery, guess what character I will be cosplaying this year at Fanime (1 try per person, does not count toward negative points rule) [2 points]

The previous question is still active by the way to those who missed the bonus run. I'll be accepting answers until the next question is posted. Previous question: Name one thing special about April 20th. 2 points to whoever can tell me the special thing related to danboard that happened today (4/20/2010).

As far as I'm concerned, no one answered correctly for the 2 point bonus

Good luck!

Aphaestus has a DeviantArt, and he has a photo in it with the Danboard Cosplay, mentioning it is his friend, So I am to assume the answer is Danboard.
I assume it is alright to mention the person sense the link will be posted and bring everyone else to his DeviantArt giving AutoAnswers.

Link: http://aphaestus.deviantart.com/art/Sniper-Rifle-WIP-153984292

And as to the bonus, you will be cosplaying as a TF2 Sniper, as can be figured by the TF2 Sniper Prop and the Kukri Deviation, which is also for the TF2 Sniper Cosplay, mentions it is being made for a friend.

Official contest day [2]:
Note: You DO NOT have to go to this location.

If you take the Alum Rock/Mountain View light rail from the convention center, you will eventually stop at the Japantown/Ayer station. Heading north from the station and turning right onto Jackson puts you straight in Japantown. Down the street are a few restaurants but what I'm interested in is the grocery store. Name this grocery store for 2 points.

On a side note, this place sells decent bento lunches for $4.99 exactly. I often go there for lunch.  :D

HAHAHA TRUE DOMINATION!!!
Just some Calculations, If we assume an average of 3.5 points per question each day, multiply by 10, the the total points left would be 35. So all I need is to obtain ~16 to gain majority.
Of course these are all assumptions...
