Driver's Permit?

I signed up a group and I was wondering if I can pick up the badges with a driver's permit. This is not a driver's license but a driver's permit. It is technically government-issued but since its basically several sheets of computer paper I am worried its acceptable or not. ???

Although it is government issued, I do believe they want a  government issued ID containing a photograph- such as a California ID. I got one of those a few years back just so I could pick up my badge.

My permit has my picture on it, so would that make it work as a government issued id?

i think the clarification on whether or not your permit is a paper/document issued from the DMV

or the hard (credit card like with magnetic stripe on the back) kind of ID Card. here's a picture example:


now some of the "permits drivers licenses" have a blue stripe saying thats is a provisional license...

but if its a paper copy of the DMV permit thats given to you with a photo on the paper... im not sure if thats gonna work.

again of course contacting registration would be your best clarification. :)
