What do you think about the rumor of Zac Efron playing Light Yagami?

I forgot about fangirls lol If he plays Light and fangirls show up for him then I'm gonna yell "Shut Up!" when they scream :P At least Johnny Depp as L is a good rumor

^ Chances are that there would be a much younger actor to play a L rather than Johnny. I can't see Zac Effron being serious character.

Zac Efron is actually a Death Note fan from what I hear, so I have some faith in him to some extent.

And please, Johnny fucking Depp better not take the spotlight as L if he is casted as him, since the Alice in Wonderland situation was sorta...bullshit.

I'm sure Johnny won't be completely terrible as L

I think Jhonny Depp would be a good L but I think Hollywood will totally mess up the movie.

I'm sure Depp would have no trouble playing a serious character like L, but I have a feeling they wouldn't write the script to have L be so serious if the actor playing him was Depp. Also, younger would be nice indeed.

And whether Zac Effron plays Light well or not doesn't matter, I believe. Fangirls will still be a problem.
