It'd be awesome if we could get LittleKuriboh and Kroze here. I know they does a lot of cons in the east coast, not sure about the west coast, but it should be about as reasonable as bringing people from Japan to Fanime anyways.

I agree with Pen2AndyP:

LittleKuriboh would be awesome but I would also request the L33tStr33t Boys.

They are what Fanime is all about... having fun with something they love
I think it would an awesome edition to the Fanime Convention if the L33tStr33t Boys performed.

They sing songs about anime, video games, anime conventions, and girls in anime / games / conventions.

They also have their very own web comic.

Check them out!

I share mduo13's sentiments about bringing Asakawa Yuu after meeting her at AX. She's such a charming person.

In other news, some ideas:

ZUN - Yet to be invited to a public convention, if I remember correctly.

There's a long list of Seiyuu to be had, but here are some.

Minoru Shiraishi - It's about time this Lucky Star ED guy made an appearance (And I know at least one person that'd be hype).

Tomokazu Sugita - Such a characteristic voice and large amount of sarcasm, definitely worth trying for.

Daisuke Ono - Also a very distinct voice for being the "cool character".

Yui Horie - After a literal 15 minute panel at AX only, I'm convinced fanime can do that much better.

And a couple of illustrators:

Yoshizuki Kumichi - Artist of series Someday's Dreamers and other JP tankobon. Has not made an American appearance yet, IIRC.

KEI - Known for designs of vocaloids and Hatsune Miku in general.

I heard her autograph session was pretty bad too at AX this year. People waiting in line for a long time only to be rejected by the staff, that must've really sucked for those people. Apparently they didn't want to enforce the autograph ticket system on her (even though they mentioned before how important the system is for AX in their forum. Pyron probably knows it better than I do since he goes to AX every year.) It also didn't help that she didn't attend all 4 days either.

I'm surprised Ono and Sugita weren't even invited at AX three years ago but I guess money was the big issue in that situation.

Minoru Shiraishi!? I'm hyped!

I really want to get another chance to meet Yui Horie. I was too busy at AX and confused by everything else to see her, and I would love to get my Tohru Honda sticker finally autographed and framed and hermetically sealed. (^_^)

On another note, since Michael Lattanzio resigned as CEO of AX, maybe it will make a comeback for the upcoming year.

In my left brain, there's nothing right & in my right brain, there's nothing left.

Poof-Aro

We need to get SuG here for their first US tour! They're still new they need the exposure!
Johnny Young Bosch would also be some I'd like to see at fanime. He was at AX this year so now he needs to come up here.
Ooo, what about someone from Hetalia  (Japanese ver.).

Hyde/Vamps/L'Arc-en-Ciel since fanime had the ticket hook-up last year (09)... though they probably don't have the contact with the band...
Or, just have LM.C come back,. They said that they really enjoyed the con and I think that they'd be more then willing to return for another concert.

Kazuki Yone
She's an amaaaaazing artist and I don't think she gets nearly as much recognition as she deserves.

Glad to see that I am not the only Hakuouki fan here.  I already posted that I'd love to see her at Fanime (I want a Hijikata-kun shikishi!!), so, always good to see others who agree with me.

Ah..but I can do one better when it comes to the Hakuouki eyecandy.  Buyable Rilezu (one of a kind cels from CG anime).

(I know I'm looking forward to buying a season 2 rilezu of Hijikata in western dress.)

I love Hakuouki, yes, but I like Kazuki Yone more. I like the art that she produces more than anything else, so I don't have too much interest in the Hakuouki anime on its own. :)

I think La Carmina would be an interesting guest to have. She was in the Japan episode of Bizarre Foods and I'm sure her adventures in japanese night clubs, crazy themed restaurants, japanese cosplay and making cute looking food would make for an interesting panel.

Only if you want to not only alienate all the legit lolitas who go to Fanime but also to cause some pretty epic drama (not only with lolis getting upset that she's being brought over, but she's been known to cause drama and do -really- stupid and disrespectful things).

No, thank you~

Can you elaborate a little more on the stupid and disrespectful part?(Haven't heard that before about her)

I'd have to look up all the details (I don't really follow all the loli drama...), but basically she jumped on stage in the middle of a fashion show (I think it was put on by the actual designers?), said some mean things, got escorted out, and then bragged about it on her blog.

Actually, here:
http://community.livejournal.com/egl/13488223.html
http://rosecarnival.wordpress.com/2009/08/09/lolita-myth-busting/
http://community.livejournal.com/bentolunch/3959873.html (In the comments it has the contents of her deleted blog post)

If she wasn't bad enough already claiming to be an "expert" on lolita yet not wearing proper lolita outfits (yes, she does other styles, but I'd assume that she does them equally as poorly, and I'm only talking about the stuff that she claims to be lolita since that's what I know), then this incident was really what put her over the top in terms of the negative views that lolitas have of her.

EDIT: I don't think that anyone (or very many people) would do something as drastic as not go simply because she's there, but you can bet that a lot of lolitas will complain and that very few of us would attend her panels or anything, and cross our fingers and hope for as little drama as possible~

Glitch

I see. I've been mostly familiar with her youtube channel and the places she goes to.(didn't follow her lolita blogging, even though it's a big chunk of LC's career)
She seemed like such a nice person, so this was kind of surprising to me. But I see your point. No biggie since it was just a mild suggestion. I like to keep my distance from any drama.

kuorra

Funimation should come to FanimeCon 2011.... :P
I think it would be kinda cool! :D

Newly added guest suggestions: Shigenori Soejima, Soji Meguro, Sho Hayami, Ayako Kawasumi, Mitsuki Saiga, Yukana, and Goro Taniguchi.

Nostalgia Critic would be nice too. I would've included the AVGN but I highly doubt that would happen.
