HEy can anyone tell me if there is a good manga series out that i can read.Ive just started with GTO and so far its alright. just put the title and a quick description of the book. I guess with as much info on manga and anime i would be called a newbie, this is only my second post ive made.thanks. My taste that i like comedy and action.

Well it really depends on your tastes.  Here's some titles that may get you started:

Comedy:  Love Hina, Ranma 1/2, GTO

Drama:  Maison Ikkoku, Chobits

Action: Escaflowne, Inu Yasha

Romance/Romantic Comedy:  Marmalade Boy, Sana's Stage (a.k.a. Kodomo no Omocha, Child's Toy in English)

Now, this is a highly incomplete list of suggestions.  Also note that there are a lot of good manga out there and very little cash to buy them...

Well seeing that you only read the domestic ones, I think that you should read Sergent Keroro when it comes out to the U.S. (I know it's getting released soon)
If you haven't read Akira, go read Akira. And Uzumaki, and Tomie -if you are interested in Horror.
Shoujo comics, you read Paradise Kiss. (must)
Shounen, go read Naruto.
