We will receive an email saying that we got rejected in case it was let's say my entry or my entry will just not show up on the list?

No confirmation or rejection emails are sent out- we will post the full list of accepted entries once signups are closed.

So far, just that one rejected entry, and that person did sign up again with their name.

Also, please don't put Japanese characters in your entries- the database can't read those.

Thank you so much, GaleWolf!  You have done a great job with the competition and posting things when you said you would.  I'm sure I speak for all of the possible contestants when I say thanks so much for posting things at the times you said you would.  :D

Submitted! I have a quick question about check in/start times: in the rules, I read that check-in is from 2-5:30pm and prelims start at 6pm, however, on the confirmation page I got when I signed up just now, it said that check in is from 3-6:30pm. Which one is accurate? Thank you!

It is 2pm to 5:30PM. The confirmation page has now been corrected.

I'm also totally down with meeting people because I have no EXP in singing in front of a live audience, and all the training I've done is karaoke! XD
Given I get in of course, I hope I get in!

Can I change that if needed or anything?

Okay, right now there are about 5 spots remaining.

Two more entries have been rejected. One for no name (singer from San Jose), one for no songs listed (singer from Mountain View).

I'm going to be away from a computer for most of tomorrow and Thursday, so unless the 5 spots are claimed early in the morning, the signup page will stay up through at least Thursday night, even if all 40 spots are filled before then.

Oh and during the check in time period you will have a chance to practice on stage. Hopefully this is of help to the first timers.

/sigh. I totally didn't know sign ups opened 10pm last night. Between work I kept checking the forums for updates too. T^T

I didn't get to sign up till 8am this morning /cry. I hope there's still a spot left. I was even late to work signing up for it lol. If I got a spot it will totally be worth it though lol. X3

EDIT: SO THAT'S why I didn't know when the sign up times were. I was consistently checking the original "Karaoke Contest Rules" & "Karaoke Contest Sign up Times & Reminders" thread. Those were never updated with the new sign up info. I didn't know ANOTHER new and separate thread was created with the revised sign up time so I missed it. Damn my common sense and logic. I never thought to check for a new thread being created for it AGAIN since there were already 2 threads, it didn't make sense to me that there would be another one. grrrr. My bad. =_=

Just ask to change your songs when you go to sign in before the contest. :)
