Questions about Fanime Badges

Heya.
I just want to know if Fanime badges are needed to attend the Black & White Ball, Video Rooms, Panels, & Music Fest.

A couple of my friends plan on only going to those events, but are not purchasing badges.

Yes to all of them (although video rooms are not policed as much), but they will definitely crack down on BWB, panels, and MF. Especially MF.

Again, yes! You can't get into much without a badge. Uhm, Stage Zero I guess? Yes, you can sit at Stage Zero. You just can't do anything else Fanime offers as an activity.

If staff aren't checking badges, then they're not doing their job, right?

The main convention center floor (Stage Zero, outdoor cosplay gatherings) is actually an unrestricted public area, so you can roam around there without a badge. Everything else, yeah, the bagde is your ticket.

If you really think about it, that's more than half the programming of Fanime. The cost of reserving space and flying musical guests and guests of honor here alone is astronomical and the only way they get that money is through selling admission. I'm not saying you/your friends are bad for not knowing (in fact I'm glad you asked); I'm just trying to explain why badges are absolutely required for these events.

Yes badges will be checked and needed to get into the Black and White Ball.  No badge no entracne.

i noticed at 4am after walking out of the fanime con late night dance there was barely any patrolling the con entrances for badges idk if its just me or not
