Is there any way to check and see if we registered with the code?
Because I think I did but I'm not sure and I don't want to spend time in a line only to find out my badge isn't even there

I tried checking through the registration site and combing through my emails and it didn't yield anything!

Go where you originally signed up on the website (http://registration.fanime.com/) and click "Log In". It shows up on your account where you can edit your username. The first link. It is very easy to miss.

Given that I don't remember even hearing about the promo code when I registered should I be worried about going to the wrong place? I don't see how to find out if my group used it or not.
