Other events in San Jose during Fanime weekend

I was looking at Discover Silicon Valley and I found other things to do in San Jose during Fanime/Memorial Day weekend. I'm not saying you should go to these rather than Fanime, but just giving an option to travelers and first timers to the area. Plus, Fanime is 5 days long, rather than a one day event.

I think checking out other things in the city is a great part of it all if you have the means to do so. My group usually stick to different eateries that we don't have at home but that festival that was going on last year with all the food trucks was a great short break from the busy con center. This year on thursday we're taking the bart up to san fran to show our friend from Missouri around. Its his first time in CA how could we not?
