Hey just wanted to let you guys know I'm planning on going as Izumi-sensei. Oh and about the locations...how close is that from the convention center? Right across the street? Just wondering.  :)

:) No problem on the Children's Museum.  I was concerned about the walking distance from the Convention Center to the Children's Museum for some of the cosplayers who didn't want to walk too much. XD

This is my first time cosplaying at FaimeCon.  I don't know where the best locations are for the pictures.  The Tech Museum was just a suggestion.  I go with the group where the location is for the cosplay pictures. ^__^  All of the locations suggested are within walking distance from the convention center.

nice to have ya join us!!!
as for locations...

there's the park/fountains- across the street
tech museum- walk through the park, it's on the other side (like a block maybe?)
children's museum- there's a big grassy area there, but that's at the END of the street (we can take a lightrail if you guys want)

oh, and, Al? i like salmon, too. =D

Thanks HellAngel. Sounds great...whichever one we choose is fine since it's not too far. I believe you said we'll meet first in front of the convention center then go to the location? Well anyways, can't wait this will be fun.  :D

hellangel

yes fun fun!!! *runs around wildly*

actually, we'll be meeting in the lobby, if that's okay with you guys. it's nice and cool there, so al won't cook while we wait for characters to show up ^___^

LOL, cardboard *giggles* that's great. I saw the cardbaord Tenchi Guardians last year and they said they got hot pretty quickly. Hope Al will be okay. Hope he survives...don't want any of the FMA members frying.

hellangel

whoah, Ska_Kitti, do we live in the same city? o.o

Hey guys quick question on the tattoos. I saw the official tattoos before...don't remember what company made them. But would it be best for me to buy the temp tattoos or have like a face paint artist or a stencilist to do my Izumi tattoo?

Ska_Kitti

:P That we do hellangel. ^_^ Wouldn't it be scary if we were on the same block? Wha ha ha. I'm across from Cuesta Park near the Church by Safeway.

Lev, my hubby will be just fine. ^_^ I was going to put him in reflective polystyrene at one point. THAT would have kept him cool. Cardboard would only be easier to work with.

i've heard that the tattoos stay on for...a week or so. like, super fake-tattoos. so you should be fine with those. and they look good too ^__^

otherwise, just draw on yourself. it's an interesting experience. *stares at felt-and-sharpie orobeus that has refused to come off since LAST WEEK*

Tee, hee....that sounds great, thanks. Do you know anywhere that might sell them?  If I can find them, then I'll buy them. If not, like you said, drawing always works ^__^

They're kinda hard to find, but Animaxis used to sell them...eBay might have some. But yeah, they stay on for like a week. I had a set, until I used it all up. I used my Izumi tattoo for a homecoming dress decoration, worn like hers, and it stayed on for a full week. ^_^

Wow really? I hope I'll be able to find some on Ebay. I'll check, thanks HanyaanFaery. ^__^ Cool that's a great thing to wear with a prom dress. I'd totally do that too. ^__^
Well I hope I can find some...if not, I have a friend who is willing to paint it on me.

Pretty nifty way to do automail...and as for that weird plastic stuff they require, well, you can pick it up at TAP Plastics. (Yay for California-only plastic store chains!)

Or you can do it the insane way like me and somehow rivet it together out of steel. ^^;;
