MangoSirene - cosplayer and youtube vlogger from the midwest~ she has her own series called cosplay 101 which has helped me get back into cosplaying 3 years ago. Also her vlogs are majestic, captures the energy at cons as a cosplayer, imo produces some of the best con vlogs on youtube, especially from a cosplayers standpoint. She recently started cooking in cosplay which is so great. She really embodies a positive cosplay spirit.
GameGrumps - this channel has probably the funniest variety of personalities on youtube. let's play webseries ft Arin, Danny, Baron, Ross and Suzy. Main people are Arin and Danny who are just great. lets plays from Zelda Ocarina of Time, Dark Souls to Overwatch. Known for their Sonic '06 and Undertale let's play. I feel they would run a hilarious gaming panel.
DashieGames - from Florida moved to Los Angeles a couple of months ago. A bit of a wild card but this dude is funny. he's mostly known for being a comedic gaming commentator. He also voice acts his own mortal kombat series and 'ghetto' versions of kids shows and games (pokemon, dora, naruto, and spiderman). Confirmed is an anime fan himself. Has gone to cons before which I should also mention his con vlogs have me dying.
Kazutaka Kodaka - director of the series Dangan Ronpa! That enough said right there.
Matthew Mercer
Crispin Freeman
I would love to see any of these as guests
a girl can dream, right~?! ʕ•̀ω•́ʔ✧

Cosplayers:
Yaya Han
Vampy Bit Me
J Hart

Japanese Guests
Daisuke Ono (voice actor, well known for voicing Sebastian Michaelis)
Yoshitaka Amano (artist well known for Final Fantasy and Vampire Hunter D)
Yana Toboso (mangaka of Black Butler. Even though she said long ago that doesn't do public appearances, just thought I'd put her name out there)
Hajime Isayama (mangaka of Attack on Titan)

keyblademaster333

I'd love to suggest Mothers Basement, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBs2Y3i14e1NWQxOGliatmg, a youtuber who does extremely good videos analyzing anime and games. His content is excellent and it could be fun. He has gone on record stating he would go if he was invited and he'd be a great panel going over anime openings and how there made. Not to mention he loves JoJo and could lead a panel!

His content has improved heavily this year and he's made it clear he'd love to come out if requested.

The Pillows - Music group who has been featured on the FLCL soundtrack (requested them in the Musicfest thread, but thought I'd try here too!)

Azuma Kiyohiko - Manga-ka who did Yotsuba&! and Azumanga Daioh -- Don't know if he's ever done an American appearance, so would be awesome to have him at Fanime !

Kairu Photography - A friend of mine who does cosplay photography. Has presented a cosplay photography panel at Fanime before and has covered many conventions and done a lot of cosplay photoshoots.

Katsuhiro Otomo - Akira Manga-ka, 'nuff said.

Eguchi, Takuya - Voice actor for Hachiman from My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu (Japanese version)

Cosplayers:

-MangoSirene (she's super talented, fairly well known)
-LisaLouWho (also super talented, she attended Fanime 2016 on both Saturday and Sunday)
-Spicey Cosplay (they are a cosplay couple who have attended Fanime before, they have a relatively small follow base, but have great YouTube tutorials)
-Aicosu (this year's guests; invite them back!! I'd love to attend their panel and meet them; did not have a chance)
-I also second on Fighting Dreamers Pro, yet I know it'd be fairly hard to get them (being that they are a group from Canada)

Music:

Eir Aoi
Aimer
7!!
FLOW (if they came again that'd be amazing)

Voice Actors:

I honestly don't care; we just need some Japanese seiyuus, Fanime. This is one guest department Fanime lacks in.

Mangaka/Animators/Creators:

This is also another department Fanime lacks in. Doesn't really matter what series per say, but even "medium-sized" guests like Kazue Kato or Naoshi Arakawa who both attended AX this year were great guest ideas/choices.

Masaya Matsukaze and Daisuke Sakaguchi were the Guest of Honors for this year's Fanime and the year before was Ai Nonaka. I don't mind seeing them again for next year. So not sure why Fanime would be lacking in this department? They have done well and did their best to bring in more seiyuus. Here's the list for a good memory jog of their past guests they've done well in getting. On their Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FanimeCon.

Yes, I know they were past guests, you don't need to insert link, that was unnecessary. I've actually read that list before; that's how I thought up guests. My point was comparing the ratio of Japanese Seiyuus to English voice actors Fanime has with other conventions; I understand it's hard to get guests from another country to attend your convention, but Fanime's guests are just lacking overall for its attendee size. Some larger-known creators (like mangakas as I said) would be nice though. In short, one or two Seiyuus to 10 English VAs is somewhat disappointing for 30,000 attendees. (Yes, the numbers are somewhat of a slight over exaggeration.)

It doesn't need to be her, per say, but a seiyuu like Romi Park would be awesome. She's voiced so many characters, ranging from minor to major roles, and having her a guest would be great because she has voiced multiple series, with recognizable characters like Temari from Naruto, Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, and Ragyo from Kill la Kill, and so much more.

Just a seiyuu who has a voice that's been in many multiple series, with easily recognizable characters (One need not be a fan of or have ever watched a series to have some familiarity of a specific character.)

And no, I'm not asking for anyone big like Mamoru Miyano (holy frick that man is everywhere), but just someone fans of different genres/series are familiar with. Matsukaze and Sakaguchi appeared with a heavy emphasis on Mobile Suit Gundam (which is understandable considering the GunPla Builders World Cup 2016 event), but that somewhat cast a shadow on their other roles/other series.

I have some guests to suggest too!!
Reika (Cosplayer)
Coco and Colette Kawaii (Cosplayers)
Hikarin (Cosplayer)

Love Sign Master Spark

Adding Hitoshi Sakamoto (music composer for Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, Gradius 5, and more) to the "random idea for future years" list.  I have no idea if he'd be enough of a draw for this crowd, admittedly.

Sora

YES, We should have TEAM FOUR STAR at this year's convention. Plus, it would be funny to have the actual voice actor of Mr. Popo vs. the abridged version of Mr. Popo.

I say Matthew Mercer and Dashiegames as well! So glad someone suggested Dashie ^^ it'll be so cool if he came!

Fanime (in general) does a good job with acquiring a few new or interesting guests and musical artists, but I saw two responses this/last year stating that Fanime staff looks and and reviews all suggestions like these and did a quick check of last year's thread and none of the guests requested were officially brought on as guests.

That's not to say every suggestion is feasible, but I do feel like for a number of guests suggested last year (and this year), they should have been possible (and affordable). The guests don't have to be a big one (like a Japanese Seiyuu, manga-ka, or director) but maybe one or two of the smaller or more local suggestions could be possible?

I recognize organizing and arranging these things is probably very difficult, just saying it would be nice to see our voices listened to in this regard (even if it's not mine... for example saw a few suggestions for Da-iCE last year, and they were the musical guest. I don't like them, but appreciated that a group who people requested were brought on).

Just my 2 cents. Sorry for the rant.
