Yuri Anime?

Yuri = girl on girl love stories.

I'm not familiar with this genre at all, can anyone suggest some titles to me? A friend of mine wants to watch this stuff.

Utena.  Especially the Utena movie.  I really don't know much of yuri, so that's it from me.

The most prolific shoujo-ai series has to be Maria-sama ga Miteru.  I hear it's a good series.  It has a large fan following.  Your friend can also check out the already mentioned Utena, Kannazuki no Miko, Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito, and Miyuki-chan in Wonderland.  Other series with prominent shoujo-ai pairings/characters include The Rose of Versailles and Sailor Moon.

Hmm. Miyuki-chan in Wonderland counts as yuri? I didn't notice any relationships -- just lots of skin, lol. It's done by CLAMP in their shoujo style and the manga itself has other parodies -- like Miyuki-chan in X/1999. The omake is amusing as the chibi-fied CLAMP artists explain this rather... explicit... series ("she likes to draw beautiful girls" -- uh, huh) and explain why the high school uniform is so popular.
