i know death note is a new manga and I have been collecting it's awsome apperance in stores, but i can't find any signs of a death note anime. I would love to buy it. Can anyone tell me if there is one or if one is going to appear anywere?

Two live action movies? wow I hope they do a good job on the actors and FX.

Manganews.net reports that Weekly Shonen Jump issue 8 (January 23 issue) will announced two live-action Death Note movies. The first is to be released in June, the second in October.

No Deathnote anime.  At least, it has never been announced.

It wasn't a movie actually. It was a year long weekly historical drama on the Shinsengumi which aired in Japan. Luckily a public station in the Bay Area played it around 2004! ^^ Hopefully its on DVD now! ^^

I heard Tom Cruise is going to act and direct this movie... He wants to turn it into a Scientology film....
Just kidding. But Seriously. A lot of Hollyweird producers and stuff are getting their grubby hands on these perfect projects and it sickens me. Brad Pitt's company purchased the rights to the Eye and well, Ring 2 is so good (Notice the sarcasm in my voice.... US version of Ring 2 should have never been made). Where is the creativity? Is Hollywood just a bunch of hacks now? Please. I'm really scared about how Neon Genesis Evangelion will turn out with WETA doing it. Sure Lord of the Rings was good, but I don't think they are good enough for Eva.
