It was bound to happen popular as it was. Here is the ANN article:

Viz has the rights. Not sure how they will do with this. If it's being pushed on Cartoon Network it could go either way. ugh....

Oh well, I had manage to get to episode 71.... thank god they had finished the previous story arc or I would have been pissed.

Saw this coming. Viz does appear to have precedence over anime in Shounen Jump, after all.

I heard that bleach got licensed by viz one of my friends told me about since he's a hardcore bleach fan.

'Tis a sad day, my friends, 'tis a sad day indeed...

*Tear* Yes, I heard the news.  Truly sad news...

WHY, OH WHY do they always die so young? :(  :(  :(

Heck, I'm surprised it took them this long. Bleach has been a huge hit both in Japan and here- all you had to do was get your head out of the clouds for half a minute and pay attention to anime fanatics and you'd know it.  I'm glad it didn't happen while the series was really young, but geez, companies ought to acquire new people to find out what's popular and worth their time to purchase.

Haha, that's exactly why Bleach wasn't liscenced sooner. Popular series cost more... hence my earlier post about how much they had to pay for the liscence... >.<

Well, I'm going to go cry now. There goes about 36 hours of my life. Bleach was popular and addicting. Kind of like the new drug, Bleach!

^^ Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

Urrgh... This is great. Another anime desecrated by poor dubs U_U. I saw a dubbed episode of it on YouTube once. I just wanted to scream. I couldn't even sit through the entire episode because I couldn't stand the way the dubs were done for Bleach.

jinnai_animexcalibur

its ALREADY DUBBED? WTF?

Coming to Adult Swim on Saturday nights at 12am is Bleach to replace FMA!

Wooooooooooooooooo!! I've never seen the series at all, so watching the dub will be interesting x_-... I will pray for good voice acting.

At least I was able to finish watching the Soul Society arch ^^  I'd be pissed if Viz licensed the series beforehand.

Moogleborg

Bleach licensed by Viz eh? ^^ Well...this means I should expect some uncut DVDs from Viz as well pretty soon! ^^ And of course in english and japanese text and openings as well! ^^

And now, Bleach will rise from the level of "Lol every online-savvy and con-going anime fan knows of it and a ton are obsessed with it" popularity to "Lol! I saw it on Cartoon Network!" popularity.

I'm usually not a snob regarding kids watching stuff on TV and becoming heavy fans of things, but.. eh. I just hope they don't dumb it down, dub it horribly and cut out all the blood.  If it gets on TV, I mean.

I expected it to be licensed sooner, but yeah, it looks like they do take a while with very popular serieses like Naruto
