Haruhi games!

A PSP game has been announced in the last week or two.  Details are currently non-existent.

The latest issue of famitsu has revealed a Haruhi PS2 game:



Name: Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomado
Release: Jan. 2008

You play as Kyon who makes a fantasy RPG staring the SOS-dan.  The game you create will be playable.  Aside from that, the rest of the game appears to be AVG.

Haruhi is a warrior class.  I'm sure it's safe to assume Yuki will be a mage class.  Probably a nuker.  I wonder who everyone else is.  I hope Mikuru isn't the healer, but it seems likely.  And here's to hoping there will be more characters involved too.  I can see Ryouko as a thief class. XD

Wow. I think I nearly peed myself of joy, I almost did. What a relief that official coverage of the concept, rumor or not, is coming to the surface!

Consider that, even if it IS just speculation, "big-name" media coverage of the idea is only more influence towards the idea. It's much like when a crowd starts cheering for a band that MIGHT come onto the stage (say, "if there was enough time"), if the draw for them to come up is big enough, they'll at least be more tempted to give them what they want. Even if that's sort of a dumb theory, it's how I figure this could all turn out.

Man, Taniguchi is developing the best fandom in the entire show. Though Tsuruya has had her fair share of attention, too.

If I remember correctly it was announced somewhere on Anime News Network that there WILL be a second season. I just don't remember when that was when the article was put up (it was after AX is all I remember). :( Gomen.

OMG I SO want to play a game based on the series. An RPG? Dude that rocks!! And that is one cool figure of Haruhi. Am loving the armor.

Kyon's (Tomokazu Sugita), Itsuki's (Ono Daisuke), and Yuki's (Chihara Minori), along with some of Haruhi's (Hirano Aya) songs were played well.

The Kyon and Itsuki, as well as Yuki performances are phenomenal. Hirano-san got a bit too high/low in some areas, and I'm not going to lie here; Yuko Goto tried too hard; it sounded like some bad Karaoke.

This might be a DVD I will purchase. Maybe I'll wait until that one booth at Fanime next year stocks it instead of that UNDER17 DVD all day.
