has A LUNCH been mentioned yet? i mean, that is if we can't get out amano.

they are a very new little indies band with otokura records that has punky/poppy/rockish whatever music. it's impossible to explain. they aren't the best musically, but incredibly fun to listen to, and they have an awesome vocalist, even if she screams too much for my tastes (though not really much in comparison to a lot of bands. :P) just think about this- at their first (and only so far, they have another in march, though), someone came out dressed in a giant panda suit and did a punk-rock version of YMCA. how awesome would that be at fanime? :P

a giant panda suit....
;__; that just totally made me think of Waive's 「ã,ãŒã¾ã¾ãƒãƒŸã,ªã€PV ;___;

in any case...
do you have any links to A LUNCH's website or youtube video clips or something?

I tried looking them up on google, and I kept getting links for bento! HAHA.

I'm a bit concerned as to why there is only one gues on the list so far. True there's still over 100 days until the con, but are they being hid from us intentionally or are there really no other guests besides Yamaga?

Just wondering.

i wish they had some PVs or live clips. ;_; but sadly, no~

the closest thing you can find is actually amano tsukiko, as this is her side project, but still very diffrent from her solo work, as this was all done with the band, and seems to prefer that this and her solo career are treated as seperate entities, as evidenced by her name change to tenko and the fact that no one would be caught dead referring to tenko as amano around her.

i can upload clips if anyone wants to hear them. they are brand new, only one mini-album so far, and since otokura records started sucking around november (the redid the entire webpage and took down all clips), there is nothing to preview them by.

http://otokura.com/alunch/

there is their webpage anyway.

even though it's still technically amano... it's really not at all, as i said above. i think that a smaller band like this would be a bit easier to bring out, perhaps, and probably would be more fun to have a concert for, even if amano concerts are a grand show in themselves, musicfest and amano probably would not mix as well as i would like (unless she did a very stripped-down live), but A LUNCH and musicfest would probably be a perfect combination.

Actually I have about 5 bands lined up for MusicFest, but until they're signed, I can't say anything.  :(

There are also domestic guests that need to be added to the website, I believe.

I just wish ther'd be something OTHER than musicfest guests ~_~ I'd like to see more voice actors, and artists, i mean for the past 2 years i haven't been too pleased with the guests... well at least none that i find any interest in..

Everyone wants so many guests that they know would be impossible to get.

Hirano Aya... hahahahaha yeah, because 6 jobs, singing, and college at the same time already made her collapse from exhaustion and put in a hospital for two weeks...

LET'S GIVE HER AN OVERSEAS TRIP IN ADDITION TO THAT!

Also, there was a gaming industry panel that had workers from Atlus, EA, Konami, and Namco last year, only 4 people went. So they got drunk instead.

Oh Great! - would actually be a pretty good guest(even though I despise him as a writer though enjoy his art)... with the release of Tenjou Tenge and Air Gear in the states, but getting JUMP to agree that that might be a little difficult. I could ask him why his comics always go to crap after about 1/3 through the story though.

Prior to 2007 I have(multiple times) suggested Haruko Momoi, but now that she's with Avex in addition to a handful of other companies, it might be incredibly hard. Momoi has stated that she really wants to come to the US to see a US convention, she enjoyed AX Tokyo and the feel compared to Japanese conventions like Comiket. Illness prevented her from coming to AX, it would be a chance for her, and a huge opportunity for her as well.

Mosaic.wav Relatively unknown, though they've done a few anime openings for recent shows, like sumomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomomo~. Akiba's new sound is dempa, and mosaic.wav is a grand example of what's been following the moe~ trend for the past 2 years. Because they are smaller, it shouldn't be too difficult to acquire.

Romi Paku would be amazing to get, and her schedule seems to be slowing down recently so she might have an opening... maybe.

Perfume-Another relatively unknown group just starting out. They have ties with Haruko Momoi and have done a lot of promotion with her(they shared a few songs like Akihabara Love). Three super cute denpa singing girls.

Tamura Yukari- One of the best VA's out there. I think the biggest issue with her would be scheduling, since she's relatively busy, but has shown interest in wanting to come to the states.

*MGRCK or Meg Rock. She's done a handful of theme songs, and although everyone has probably heard her songs, very few people know who she is. Here, I'll help you out, she did "Catch You, Catch Me" From Card Captor Sakura. She's done a handful of songs recently from Joushikousei and Solty Rei(which is now in US so it'd be good promotion for that series). She's got a pretty nice voice and isn't some impossible name to get.

I've - As was said by a handful of people before. Kotoko's been doing her thing and promoting in the US, and I love her. Kawada Mami however is getting a lot larger, ever since the release of SEED which contained the opening to Shakugan no Shana.

Now, if I wanted to aim for something unobtainable, I'd want to aim huge. Like, mind blowingly huge, you people can have your Gackt, and Orange Range, Utada Hikaru, even Ayu... I'd aim larger.

Shiina Ringo... Rock Queen of Japan and Tokyo Jihen.

That'd be fun~. Then went to ACEN before, didn't they? Maybe we can get them to come to Fanime this time around. =3333

I've been hoping for two years.

:D

But I don't know, they're pretty busy in Japan now, aren't they?

FUKUYAMA JUN.

Please?

He's a seiyuu, popularly known for Lelouch (Code Geass), Watanuki (xxxHOLiC), Keita (Gakuen Heaven), and many many more. He's pretty popular right now and I think he'd be a great addition to the Fanime guest lineup! .^^ He's also uber dorky and cute~

PLEASE please try and get Antic Cafe to perform here. Here's why I think they'd be perfect for Fanime. Antic Cafe is an up and coming indie band. They're already getting big in Japan. It's perfect timing for them to expand to the US. They're where Psycho le Cemu was at before they did their US thing.

I know it's probably impossible, but I recently saw Miyavi perform in Vegas and he was utterly fantastic. GET MIYAVI. Seriously. It will do Fanime good.

Kamijo came last year, but I missed him. :( Lareine should make an appearance this year, definitely. Get him back.

Kazuko

actually it was Jrockhouse ent that brought kamijo O: but i do wonder if they do want to bring ALL of lareine since kamijo said something about cheering for his mates to come too X3 that way i can finally feel happy hugging Kamijo again and :d maybe poke at emiru~

D: i wonder who they got

update the guest list plooox T_____T

Not to be demanding, but does anyone know how it's going on the Guest front? Fanime is in two months, so are the new ones going to be last minute or does Yamaga-san have to entertain us all?... Just a quandary. D:

I asked Tony a while back, and it seems like he had a bunch of bands on standby. Thing is, he can't announce guests or bands until they sign a contract.

Chances are the guest list will get increases in huge floods. Like, we'll find out there are 5 bands and two more guests a month beforehand, and then guests and bands will trickle in as the contracts are signed.

At least, I'm pretty sure that's what the situation is at the moment.
