As for seeing the movie... I'll have to think... I mean, I've seen girls who run about more scantily dressed than Envy. Maybe I can pull it off somehow.

hey! anyone here going to the FMA cosplay picnic in Irvine Park (I think it's in Orange, though XD)? Silver_Unicorn and I are planning on going...taking the train...ahaha...yeah, I know it's far away =P It's on August 12th if anyone's interested ^_~

Irvine Park in Orange?  Sounds like Southern California.  I didn't know about the FMA picnic.  I can't make it >.>  I'm too busy.  I'm curious.  Who organized the picnic?

Why should someone get offended?

(I wore Envy to school once- with a modified not-so-showy top, of course. Got lots of questions like, "Why do you have the Star of David on your leg??" People =__=")

Because... It is a symbol of a serpant (sometimes seen as Satan) strangling a cross. People might think that it is a symbol for Satanism.

Like I said... People thought that the oroborus is the Star of David. So with that sort of thinking, you never know what ay happen.

Huh... that never occured to me. Though now that I think of it people assume I am Mormon or some other religion based on the bag I use that has the Hellsing symbol from Alucard's gloves.

I have that red FMA shirt with it on the back, and the alchemic circle on the front. If it didn't say FMA on the sleeve it would kind of look creepy to a normal person.

A bit off of what you all are talking about, but I once wore my nicholas flamel necklace (the symbol on the back of Ed's trench) to work and people were walking up to me and asking "what is that?" Only one person knew what it was, but it was because she knew of FMA.

When I researched how to make Ed’s jacket surfing the web in 2004, someone planned to modify the symbol.  The guy wanted to make the cross only and no snake because the snake was against his religion.  Go figure >.>

Its simple if people complain explain it to them and if they don't stop smack them upside the head :)  Ya I definatly won't be able to attend the picnic since I live in Missouri...shesh I'm actually gonna catch a plain next year from Georgia to go to Fanime....I know I'm crazy.
