For this week, it's Minamoto Chikaru from Strawberry Panic!.  She's the beautiful and amiable student council president of Lulim Girls' School and the head of the Henshinbu/"Transformation Club:" a club dedicated to cosplay.  I picked her right off the bat when the moe was announced, but after thinking a bit, I realized that she herself doesn't really cosplay much.  She's a genius at costume design and seamstress work, but she usually makes outfits for the other club members: namely Remon and Kizuna.  So, in the end, it was kinda a challenge.  She does don a very nice "cosplay," during the series, but it's for a reason, so I don't count it.  And she cosplays in a santa suit, but we've done that.  I opted for her detective mini-cosplay from episode eight.  Cause she looks really cool staking out the library. :3

Strawberry Panic! is seriously underrated/unwatched.  Chikaru is, IMO, the best character in the series and one of my favoriter moes of last year.  I was certainly rooting her on in Saimoe.

Probably everyone knows how much Mint loves to cosplay. If its a costume, she'll put it on no matter how rediculious it is. I seriously want her collection.
I've been saving Mint for such an occasion and I picked her right as the moe was annouced. >.<

I still think the moe theme is ironic considering the same day we picked it was the day I finally got stuff for my cosplay I was planning since a year ago... -.-;; But that's irrelavant....

By my standard of moe: no.  By someone else's: perhaps.  "Moe" is a very subjective term and it has no explicit boundaries in terms of characteristics and/or gender.

Generally, guys are not moe to me unless they're very feminine, shota, or traps. Most characters that are moetic to be are girls. Some guys may have moetic traits but I don't classify them as moe. But that's just me.

I thank Chun for not making me feel like the only Wednesday starter.
I decided under the circumstances to go with Yuzuko Kurusu from Pani Poni Dash!
....lets just say at first I would have referred her to simply as a back-up moe, but after catching up on a few episodes, nodded my head and said 'I approve'. Not to say she beats another possible character of the series, but still good in her own way.

So I had some second thoughts about my pic for this week. The problem was, even though Etna is amazingly hot, the only pictures I could get of her dressed up as a prinny were decidedly not. I considered keeping Shia a second week (the same picture works, after all) but figured it wouldn't be good to break the guidelines like that. So I got to thinking and instead came up with one that I'm so very proud of for reasons that the vast majority of you guys probably won't get.

All I'm gonna say about my new choice is the following:
(1) Monster is an amazing, amazing show, and everyone here should watch it.
(2) If you looked at my picture and said, "IT'S A TRAP!", truer words have never been spoken.

Anyhow, given that this isn't really an easily identifiable trait (although I could be wrong), I'd say that fanart should be permitted, but if you can find a canon image, you should give it priority.
