Buying Wigs?

　So I wanted to know where most American Cosplayers end up buying their wig and how nice their quality is :X

　I`ve mostly bought my wigs off Cyperous or Maple, both of which are famous wig companies when it comes to cosplays.
Maple`s wigs are priced at 4800yen flat for any length wigs (synthetic) and only an additional 1000yen (I think) for the stylable wigs that they have. All wigs that they sell have the fake skin on the top part of the wig so they`re actually pretty good.
Cyperous wigs are very famous but is a bit more expensive, well structured, and have a wider variety when it comes to styled wigs.

What about american wigs? I`ve never really seen any nice cosplay wigs (like halloween wigs are so crappy @_@) in america so I`m curious as to where you guys get your wigs :X

I know online there are fancy people that do the styling for a high cost, but if you wanted a wig only how much do you usually pay and where do you get it?

i myself have not bought any wigs for my cosplays (so far ive been able to use my own hair), but i know a lot of people buy wigs off of cosworx.com - they have a store set up on cosplay.com, and they have a nice variety of excellent quality wigs for reasonable prices ^^

Oh I know of katiebair but she`s more of the wig stylist that you pay so much for and wait a long while :3

well, i have bought two wigs from cosworx before. they are actually pretty good. one of them worked perfectly with one of my costumes; the other one.....er, not as good, but okay nonetheless.

The wigs from Amphigory are in very good condition. I bought several wigs on my first time and they were all very soft and silky. :] Their quality is also very good. Kanekalon is the fiber of choice.

i second amphigory.com. The wigs I've got fom there have been really good. Their selection has got quite a bit bigger recently, and almost all their wigs have the fake skin scalp.

I buy mine mostly online. There are costume shops around here, though, so I sometimes go and check those out. But usually they're cheaper online~

i'm lucky, because there's a wig store next to the safeway i go to here in SF XD it has a lot more realistic wigs, and usually the price for a long wig is 45$ and up. Good quality and just like anything i'd buy online. Most of the the time i buy from this wig store if i need a specific color and i need to see it in person.

I bought one wig so far and am really happy with it. this wig http://www.cosworx.com/product.php?productid=16494&cat=0&page=1 in pink, and it's a nice light pink not tacky hot pink, like some anime/game chara's have like miwako from paradise kiss. It comes with a skin top as well, and is super long, and really nice quality. I highly suggest cosworx.
