MGS Skit/ Sneaking Suit Construction HELP!

Well, Fanime is nary but a few months away and a skit came to mind a little bit ago, and I must say, there are a few snags. It's a skit featuring Naked Snake, Solid Snake and Raiden. Now, I have a Naked Snake and a Solid Snake, but we're missing a Raiden. Of course, that may not be our biggest problem, as to there are some costume problems to deal with, which is, of course, the purpose of this little inquiry.

Right to the point: Can you, the great people of the Fanime cosplay board, help a humble newb of a cosplayer/performer? Of course, what I mostly need help on is Solid Snake's suit. I'm thinking Snake circa MGS2, but I've considered the MGS one since it's easier to make.  So, does anybody have advice on constructing a sneaking suit? Materials? Techniques? Perhaps somewhere to possibly buy the thing whole?
