Episode 12 was both more ridiculous and more serious than I expected. Code Geass sure doesn't make joke episodes that can just be ignored for the purposes of the rest of the plot.

But to think that they'd unveil Orange-kun's new power, Cornelia's return (and her totally improved design!), progress the Anya/Lelouch dynamic, develop Milly's character (and Lloyd/Cecile a bit by extension), introduce the Knight of One and several new princes/princesses, set up serious conflict with Shirley, and even not forget about Nunnally and Kallen... wow. Color me impressed.

One thing you can be sure, Code Geass never ends on a good note.  Something bad/ unexpected has to pop up right before the credits.  I really didnt see that coming in R2 12, this is going to put an interesting twist

By the way, though it seems likely, anyone who has seen .hack//Roots and played .hack//G.U. (all 2 of us) knows that without a confirmation...

it's not certain that Rolo was the one who killed Shirley.

There were other parts of the episode that I liked better, though. Namely,

Cornelia versus VV.
