I'm pretty sure Lelouch's idiocy this episode was all an elaborate plot to capture Nina and/or suicide-by-world. Suzaku was probably in on it for the same reasons.

I'm starting to get kind of disappointed in this season, though. The mech battles have gotten SO BAD... It wasn't until I recently revisited R1 a little bit that I fully realized how much cheesier this series has become.

Lolol... Wut mech battle? >.>; I mean apart from that one with Suzaku vs The Knight of One and a couple of mech battles by Kallen, I don't really recall anything that was big as the ones from the old series.

I dont think this season is meant to be about battles.  R2 is going to wrap everything up and I doubt that is going to be determind by a mech battle.  Besides I was never a huge mecha fan, Im much more interested int eh characters.

Episode 23 - I want to suddenly abandon this series, but with just a few episodes left, I'll stick with it. I'm leaving some comments out on purpose:

-Is it just me, or did the troops Lelouch gain "live" geass? I was pretty sure its obey him but a scene indicated something else.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of this, but if there's so much mobility in the whole lot of the armed forces, what's to stop a piercing energy shot (or a combination thereof) from blasting a Fleia round just as it is launched outward? Rather, why not concentrate a beam into the base area which is essentially storage? Besides the obvious Gefjun(?) Disturber shielding mechanic, a wide radius couldn't be that withstanding by using one or two high-leveled pilots.
