Buster Sword

So my friend has a full size replica of the Buster Sword from FFVII and wanted to cosplay as Cloud Strife but wanted to know what the rule was on bringing the sword.  It's big but it's dull (full metal I believe as well).  Okay, I told him that dragging that around the con probably wasn't the wisest thing cause of how heavy it is but still, he wanted to know if he could bring it.  Is that something that he'd have to bring to the Staff first?  I figure that as much and they'd have to "peace bond" it or whatever they do with weapons...

Basically he just has to go to the office and have a staff member look at it after he goes through registration, and if they okay it, they'll attach a zip-tie to it to signify it's been examined and that you understand the weapons prop policy.

Since it's an oversized stylized sword, I doubt it would need to be attached to a costume in any way.
