I have noticed lately that several animes have been taken from youtube.  Decendents of Darkness, Suskiyo, Loveless.

Does this happen because these animes are liscensed in america? Or is it going to happen to all the anime on youtube?

I liked my free anime T_T

Those anime, well at least Loveless, is liscensed in America.

I know that there have been issues with the companies in Japan complaning to the youtube peeps about that. The only response has been to delete copyrighted material outright.

Essentially, it's going to happen to all anime on youtube.

Your best bet would be learning about new anime beforehand, then hope someone fansubs it long enough to get the full season out before it gets picked up for US stores.
It all really depends how well the lies are told...

Yeah, Japanese companies and Youtube both have been getting more diligent about finding and removing anime from Youtube. I don't mind 'cause Youtube videos are terrible quality and I wouldn't watch anime on there, but it does disappoint me when parodies and things such as Breath Note get taken down for copyright reasons.

The best way to get free anime without paying for it is still word of mouth from friend to friend. Lots of people are willing to lend out whatever they have just so you'll be able to enjoy it the way they did.

Or you could just... download it.

Was I not supposed to say that? XD; It seemed a bit dodged, here.

The way I do it, if I watch a show (Either pirated or fansubbed) then I like it, if it gets liscensed or already is, I'll go out and buy it.

Now with something like Kiminozo, I can't buy the series on DVD because I can't help myself over the horrible english title... Rumbling Hearts? XD
