I look forward to hearing it.

Wow, it's been forever since my last post.
At any rate, new song up. I tried some different sounds here and there, particularly VST on the synth riff.
The bass still sounds a bit MIDI, but I tried some different sounds for the "stabs", and almost forewent the usual chord-based soundworld... maybe not the best move, and I may implement that later, along with different sounds for the bass.

Haven't been here much since '09. I said some stupid, stupid things before (and after) that.

Different browser maybe? (Some browsers handle plugins better than others...)

I use dial up...so I doubt any browser will work.  :-\
But when I am at the studio, I'll try to check out your site. Since we have better internets.

New song~!

I tried to return to the sort of melodic style I used to have before I wrote Eurobeat, but kept some of my newer stylisms and added some guitars. =P Vocals will come this weekend for most of the songs, most likely this one included.

"Cherry Blossoms" (Yeah, I know, corny theme, but quite frankly it fits the lyrics coming with it)

"I'm Gonna Get You" has vocals
and "Roots in Jazz" is a remake of an old jazz tune I wrote before I did Eurobeat.

Have you looked at getting some VSTs from http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=kontakt3?

Native Insturments has some very good files. (I use VDL 2.5 but that's more of a niche market)

Prices are decent to.

Oh wow wow WOW it's been a long time since I've posted here. I am, in fact, still alive and well, and making Eurobeat much more frequently. They're still on the same page (www.myspace.com/travisodyssey), but I think you'll notice an improvement in the new bunch. Please give a listen and let me know. :)

Ow, that's nice. then maybe you could help with one thing. I am also an music composer on professional level.
I've been making music since I were a little kid. But I'm never been a synthersizer expert. "I'm just good with melodies so to say".

I have a big problem finding a vst that has a preset that can recreate the exact brass lead sound that is being used in more than 90% of all SEB songs ever created. Could you tell me if there is a way?

Some music exampels from me:

I'm working with a MegaMan X fangame project called MegaMan X: Corrupted.
Here are some tracks I've made using the sounds from MMX1-3 -

UPDATE! I'm on an album!
Right now it's currently on Amazon.com under this link (http://bit.ly/6hsQGN), and the entire album is fantastic! I wrote/composed and sang on two songs, Nitro and I'm Gonna Get You, and the rest are either Magic Hammer's own creations or remixes (mostly original works). If you like Eurobeat, Metal, or tearing things apart using only your teeth, you will LOVE this album.

And, to answer you, Ghost Tree... it's hard to say, given that all the labels actually use VERY slight variations off the same sound principle (though Go Go's Music uses something more hit-based, SAIFAM doesn't always use synth brass, and Hi-NRG Attack has used non-synth instruments like trumpets and accordions). The answer I've got from
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
all resounds: Layers. Pick a sound that comes close, use that. Then do the same line with another sound that's pretty close. Then another sound. Then another, until you've got enough layers and it sounds nice. Change up the volumes of each sound to your taste.
Alternatively, if you're using a Mac-based setup (Logic Studio and/or Garageband), I have a blog on which I actually discuss how to get Eurobeat arrangements running in no time. Check it out: http://eurobeat-blog.com

Congrats on this. *clap clap.* I probably should have checked this a few weeks ago. XD

I was lurking and came across this and gave it a listen. Try Sidechaining. Doesn't sound like its doing it properly if you are. The tracks definitely need to be Mastered better. I have personally never been a fan of Cakewalk, their sound is almost that of FL-Studio. You have to tweak everything insanely just to get it to sound properly.. I strongly suggest Cubase, sound is really smooth even prior to throwing down some EQ. for Trancey synths for this Genre. I strongly suggest grabbing stuff from Re:Fx its a bit pricey. But worth it, I bought a copy of Vanguard quite awhile again. Still use it to this day. http://refx.com/?lang=en&page=home/latest As of late I have found Reason very fun for engineering synth sounds. =)
