Fredrick the undercover cop tricks brad into into reveling he's a criminal from a country that has sanctions by using his countries anthem as a trick and telling him where the bodies are berried?
The sun was raising up above the high
and dense entangled spider's web.  The dew
was dripping from the silky strings and down
through canopy to underbrush.  It splashed
the puddle making one more fountain spring.

... Nope. You were close, though, half the idea came out of thin air without relevance to the puzzle. o_0

Are there really dead bodies?

Nope.

"Yes" or "no" for answers aren't very straightforward and can be misleading. Asking vague questions would make it harder for you.

So the guy isn't a murderer?

No.

Please allow me to ask/rephrase this question:

is one of the guys a murderer?
Life is too important to take seriously.  Seriously.

So Fredric used an anthem to trick Brad into confessing to something?

Yes. I'll accept all your attempts so far as an answer.

Answer: "Brad" is a German spy during World War II. Fredrick, an American, is suspicious of him, so he plays a word-association game with him. When Fredrick says, "The land of the free," Brad says, "The home of the brave." When Fredrick says, "The terror of flight," Brad says, "The gloom of the grave." Any U.S. citizen would know the first verse of the national anthem, but only a spy would have memorized the third.

Next Puzzle: Two men are served identical drinks at a bar. One lives, but the other dies. Why?
