I do too! except that afterwards, we all talk like crazy about it and end up high on it.

same xD all our other non-otaku friends just start to walk away once we get to talking about it

How about after the gathering everyone interested can meet somewhere for lunch?  We could really confuse the local Jack In The Box if we all show up in cosplay and demand our ninja food!  lol.  What does everyone think?

that sounds good. but maybe we should see what gatherings are after ours, b/c some might have to run off to another. also, Jack in the Box is one place I'd personally like to avoid. in the forum of Craziest things that happened at Fanime, one person said how there was a shoot out there. So, I'd personally like to avoid Jack in the Box

La Vic's (mexican food, I think...)

and I think that might be about it? Well, that's all I can think of off the top of my head, anyway.......and I'm likin' this lunch idea, since the gathering's midday anyways.

Yeah, they are diners. Pretty good food, but it's the basic burgers-and-fries kinda deal. For the record, though, Johnny Rocket's has a lot more space, so if we did one of those two, that'd be the better choice. Cost about the same, too. Although I'm thinking you're right, a fast food place would probably be best, especially since most people will probably be anxious to get back to the con.

A lot of us are doing the Jump gathering as well.  It's at 2 (I think, I'll have to double check that).  So if we do a lunch it'll have to be pretty close and pretty fast.  McDonalds is fine by me.
