Quote from: PyronIkariIt sucks because... It's Capcom Fighting All-stars 2. Everything they've shown has had so many things that won't work correctly, and new character looks... horrible. Of course I will still play it, and see how it works, and I hope it is good, but with what they've been showing us(and what I know that they haven't shown us) it gets crappier and crappier.
For all that is known so far, it's still way too early to say if its going to be an utter piece of crap or not; the Saving/Revenge system might not be what the die-hard SF players want, but from the way moves can be canceled/linked, it looks to be somewhat deep(albeit not as deep as the parry system in 3S is).

And like what has been said already: if they don't like it, they can go back to SF3S.

Why do you throw out terms and not even understand it.

The parry system... wasn't really that deep. Super Turbo is far more deep than 3S is, and ST's gameplay had no weird crazy systems or anything like that. KOF games have super cancels, armor modes, strikers, and every other system you can name... and not a single KOF game is very deep. The Revenge System is just a super cancel system that's slightly altered from... yes I get to use the name again, Street Fighter EX. Remember that game? Remember how you could cancel specials... into supers... into... supers... into supers? It's not the system that makes a game deep, it's how the system works with the basics. The basic properties are the most important, ranging and hit boxes, the balancing of priorities. How they interact, that's what makes a deep game, the systems are about flashyness and stepping it up, and showing off. 3S wasn't deep because of parrying, GG wasn't deep because of Roman Cancels,

This is going to sound completely retarded, but... you can generally measure how deep a game is, by how extremely boring and at a standstill the game is when you match up two extremely skilled players without it just being utterly retarded(See Hokuto no Ken).

that makes sense. the "bare-bones"-iness of a fighter is what makes it a good game, after all. "OMG LIGHTS AND SPECIAL EFFECTS AND SUPER MEGA ULTRA COMBOS" comes second.

So far the people I asked who actually just tried SF IV at the Game Conference told me its pretty awesome.  One person say "just give the game another chance and a try, despite the criticisms".  So I am hoping to give it a try some day and tell u wat i think.  I'm hoping to make it to the Capcom Panel at Wondercon since they will give more sneak peak for the game.

Remember, this is made from the guy who made CFJ, SFA1, and the guy who made the god awful SF3 rap possible.

What? I like that SF3 Rap!  ;D
I just need to try it to see how it goes.  Yeah that CFJ was awful.

yeah after seeing some footage of it it really looks very clean and crips and the animations are very smooth. yea i do believe people need to give this a second chance.

I just watched their panel.
It was alright.  They only showed trailers that we already seen like Ryu vs Ken fight and C. Viper vs. Chun li fight just a new trailer introducing the characters in SFIV and its gameplay.

I can't wait for this game. Until then, I won't pass any judgment yet.

Sure is good to see Ken and Ryu again.

This game looks alright. I don't really like the art style but we can't make our final judgements until the game comes out.

I much rather would have had insanely detailed 2D models at 60 FPS in HD but... that isn't the case so oh well.

Brawl/Soul Calibur 4 should occupy my time until this gets released.

I heard Ono can't even do a dp.
