holy carp!!!O.0!!! Im 14!!! wow, i didn't know that there was a age limit...I wonder what department should i join... What does the volunteer depart. do?

except you pay for your tix..and but you get reimbursed back

well if u are under the age of 18. u have to fill out some paperwork to staff. vol's help out the other departments..like a staff but there not..

There are Jr. Rovers positions... for folks under 18

when i mean vol depart. I mean being a staff by working in the vol department. not being a vol. Thought you might need to know.

Well, if you're under 16, most departments won't really want to take you. ^^;; Even when I was 15, anybody was really reluctant to take me.

The only thing I had fill out as extra was a parental consent form. Just one piece of paper you turn into either your head or human resources.

I'd just say to volunteer instead of staff. It's like the same thing. ^^;;

But.. join REGISTRATION if you can. ;D I'm awesome. And the other people there are pretty cool. ^^

I suggest that if you're interested in staffing you should volunteer first so you understand what it's like to work in Fanime before you decide on which department you'd like to join.

Volunteers purchase a membership for the convention, then they work a certain number of hours before they can be reimbursed for their badge at the end of the convention.

You can always email the volunteer department and ask if they need staffers, but like people said most departments are a little iffy about accepting staff members under the age of 18, let alone 16.

0.0 You really have to be 18? But, last year, I got in without much of a problem. . . just had to fill out the parent consent thinger. And I'm only 13 ^^;

Yeah you have to be 18 for rovers and some departments other than that its alright
They are Junior Rover but you need that parental consent thing first.

I'd love to join staff... I'm old enough to, but I don't know if I have enough con experience to really impress anyone... ^^;

Er... Hopefully that won't be needed in the Newsletter department, haha. I have some newspaper experience, and I'd kill for the opportunity to write about the going ons of the con... Interview some cosplayers.. Yeah~~ That'd be freakin' sweet.

Plus, if I get to join newsletter staff... Maybe we could add comics and stuff into it? It would be a fun newsletter. =D Ehhh... But maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. I like publishing stuff, though. XD
