The San Jose raid didn't have a very big turnout; I was going to join in, but only five folks were there. Nyeh, I'll join in next time, regardless of numbers. Bring some /b/lackup if I can.

So two thoughts:

-One, what in whatever higher power you believe in is this about?

-Two, why would a scietologist have an avatar of one of the most religious anime characters out there?

that is all

The person you're questioning is someone AGAINST Scientology, thus made a thread on scheduling a protest. L2r plz.

On topic:

Protesting does seem to be a bit inane, but I suppose I approve of you guys doing so to piss them off for what they have done. (I'm not sure if it's best to organize it on the Fanime Boards, but I doubt Fanime would actually care.) Though, as ridiculous as this entire religion/cult/scheme is, it filtered out the idiots foolish enough to pay money to join this religion in the first place. The LJ post on the protest in London that Ryu posted on the /b/-thread was quite funny. ( http://deathboy.livejournal.com/1082404.html ) But I have a feeling that a good chunk of them joined in, not for the sake of protesting against the scheme of scamming people with outrageous beliefs to bribe them, rather, they were just willing to be idiots and protest for the sake of being Anon and the fact that Scientology is just hilariously bizarre. I honestly could care less about why all this is being done, but I sympathize with the idea of protesting for a cause... but in this case, the internet is just overflowing.

Is it just me, or does it seem kind of ridiculous to be protesting someone else's religion, even if that religion is kind of corrupt? Just seems like treading a very fine line, if you ask me.

Watch these and see if you still think it's just a religion.

While I don't like protesting at all (no matter if you're for or against something) i'd rather boycott anything that has to do with Scientology to begin with.

Years ago, I bought one of their books and while I found it quite interesting to attempt to help reduce stress, I found it quite weird and silly that they'd think of their stuff as a 'religion'. They kept on calling me and asked me to attend their 'church' and I simply told them that Scientology isn't for me.

They left me alone from then on, and thats what i've been doing to Scientology from now on: leaving them alone....besides, all they want is nothing more than your money and attention. Sadly, that seems like a majority of things these days though....

But that wouldn't make sense, though. The people that would be boycotting their products and services wouldn't have paid for them anyway.

I'd love to attend a scientology protest... Are there any soon in the bay area with a god turnout expected?
