The problem with 4v4 is we don't have a network (to our knowledge) to use to hook up 2 360's.
We're currently looking into 4 player FFA and 2v2, both 1st to 25 games.

If you have standard tournament rules, please post them so we can modify our rules.  I'm helping organize all E-gaming tournaments.  We are looking into CoD4 and Halo3.  We, however, don't have the standard rules.

What does FFA and MLG mean? I forgot.

FFA mean Free For All
and MLG stands for Major League Gaming witch is a Gaming Circuit based around several games including halo3.
the rules go into detail but some of the basics are Spawning with a Battle Rifle instead of a Assault Rifle and some other minor changes.

Well i dont know what a network has to do with linking 2 360s because all you need is a ethernet wire
and if you get several routers, and ethernet wires you could life up several 360s.
by the way, if there will be a 4v4 tornament, dont put a entire team on one Xbox.

These rules provide in game balance and will definitely make the tournament a lot more fair.

Also, what is this ball that they're speaking of?  I'm not a hardcore halo player so I don't know the lingo.

Only rules off the top of my head that I know are no hand weapons and no Power weapons.

The Ball refers to oddball, a game type in halo3.
You dont need to worry about this as im sure will only be playing  Slayer(Death Matches)

Well your supposed to download the Map settings. You can download these settings by hooking up a 360 to the internet, making a Xbox Live Silver Account, which is free, going HERE and download the content you require. By the way, your window live ID is the email you linked to your Live Account. After this start up halo 3 while signed into your Live Account and it should download automatically

theres no need to download many maps because all you need is 1 or 2 (I suggest MLG Guardian v4 and MLG The Pit v4)
and the gametype MLG TS v4

Where did say that, that doesnt sound right at all.
do you mean this:
The fusion coils were removed from the attic as players will now be prohibited by rule from entering into that area of the map.
because if so, dont worry about it, MLG has all ready token care of it.

weapons on map should be default, as we should be playing MLG Variant Maps.

nearly every halo tournament i went to (convention wise), it was always a crappy 360 prize which they got from gamestop for 5.99! a free game yeah but sometimes its lame and you rather cash it out for a less prize money -_-!...
for once i would like to see a prize worth seeing like a made up HALO GUN! or a spartan helmet XD!....

the helmet DOES sound like an interesting prize... (the dvd case i heard about)....why not use that..it can store all three halo games as well !!!!!!!!!!

otherwise i got this feeling the winner gets either a game of their choice.......or halo (the original xbox game -_-)!!!! would be better if its a XBox live subscription!!!!
