Hey everyone -

5/19: Gainax panels announced in the last post!  ;D

5/16: The schedule is live on the website now! Check the news on the home page or find links to it at the top of the main Events page.

Please check the 4/23 post for a preview of panels confirmed for Friday!
Update 4/24: Added panels confirmed for Monday to the same post.
Update 5/1: Added two more guest panels to Friday listing, one more to Monday listing, and put the full list of Saturday and Sunday panels in the same post.

These will be on the website with full descriptions hopefully not too long after they're listed here. I thought I'd give a preview here on the forums though, of the panels that are currently being added to the schedule. I'll update this first post as more get confirmed.

Please Check the second post and the 4/13 and 4/17 posts for panel titles. Thanks~!

Raymond is coming back with the Anime Fans Over 30 panel.
Paladin Cecil will be returning with Story Story Die and a couple of other game panels - these are really fun, if you didn't try them out last year, now you'll have another chance. The new ones will be The Anime List and the Fan Art Caption Contest (which will have prizes!).
The folks at the ImmortalGeisha.com plan to come and give us a slew of panels on traditional dress, and hopefully... a kimono fashion show. (We're still working the kinks out of that last one.)
Broccoli, Bandai Visual USA, and Bandai Entertainment should all be back with industry panels, as well as Gothic Garnet - who say they're planning some freebies at their panel.
Panda Cubed: http://www.pandacubed.com/ is coming to our con this year, and we hope to give them a chance to perform several panels.
We'll also be having a "How to be a Host" panel, sponsored by the Cosplay group OH!smeCK.
Then we have...
Cosplay Posing
Dansei  Seiyuu 101
And the Damn You Internets panel is back as well.

Oh yes. I almost forgot the Guest panels that I already know about. I have panels from Jonathan Osborne and Giles Poitras already. ^-^ I'll list them up here when I have a chance to check my records for the names of the panels.

Edited 4/13: The Panels Schedule is now nearly full. Any panels submitted in these last couple of days will probably need to be open to late-night programming.

Ari

Question! Will there be a set posted schedule on the internet for all this or do we have to wait until we get our badge to get a schedule of all the panels?

Kava

Ari: The shchedule is usually posted on the website prior to the con. However, it's often not very long before the convention that the schedule is completed. I could try to post up a rough schedule of panels on the forum somewhere earlier than that, but until the schedule is finalized, it's always subject to change.

I might be able to at least post which days each panel is scheduled for. (Though I still can't guarantee it wouldn't change.) Would that help?

Note: I'm putting the descriptions up in the order that the panels were submitted, with priority to Industry panels, since there are far less of them. I'm currently caught up to panels submitted February 17th and prior. If you submitted prior to that and your description isn't yet up, there is likely a problem of some sort with your panel description and I simply haven't had time to e-mail you about it yet.

Could you ask Giles if I could join him on his older anime for newer fans panel.
Also... who is doing the over 30 panel?

Squeeky_Moonkin

very happy to see music panels especially k-pop ^_^

Kava

I updated the second post only. Actually, I'll probably update it again later today. For the moment, I was catching up to what I already added to the website last night and this morning. *whew*

Updated the list of panels here again - to include more guest panels and a few fan panels that came in right on the deadline, or were submitted earlier and I needed to talk to the panelists about something before putting them into the program guide.

2nd Post updated only. I'm hoping to have a few more additions either tonight or tomorrow.

Still not to late to submit panels! Panels submitted between now and April 15th will still go onto the website and into the schedule - they just won't be listed in the program guide. ^^

 ???

The original host was this regular guest of honor from back in the day, Steve Bennett.  *shrugs*

Something tells me Sean is trying to take over the world, one panel at a time... *quirks a brow*

:D OMG! All three of my panels have been approved! OMG, OMG, OMG! *fangirl squeal*

*deep breaths* Okay, calm down...

Quick question though, I already am registered to attend Fanime, but have not paid yet, (College student. you probably know what that's like) should I still pay for my membership? And if so, would I be remibursed after the convention?

Please just let the cosplay related panels be at times I can attend this year.  Seems like every year they are at times I have other commitments ...  :'(
Life is too important to take seriously.  Seriously.

Kava

BenihimeSama: I usually only give badges to those who aren't already buying them. If you're doing three panels for me, then you'll be getting a weekend badge from me, so there's not really a need for you to go buy a regular member badge. I'm not sure if I have a way to re-imburse you for it if you get it.

BunofGovt: We've made an effort to do effective counter-programming this year... such as making sure to not schedule cosplay panels against masquerade, the Kimono show... and hopefully not during the Gothlic Lolita Fashion show either, and there are a LOT of cosplay panels this year! However, there's a lot going on at fanime at any given time, so I can't give any guarantees. I hope it'll work out well for you!

Ooookay. BTW - for those asking about re-imbursement of badges, please check the other sticky in this forum. I updated that thread with more information about that (I can't do it). Thanks!

I haven't got the schedule in front of me right now - but we did make an effort not to be stupid with programming and say... pit two cosplay panels against one another, or music panels against music fest, etc. So I'm fairly certain those two are at different times. If you want more than titles, take a look on the main website. Most of the descriptions are already up - what's missing I'll be trying to get up next week.
