Also, brothers, how are you doing your makeup?  I'm deciding between pasty yet still normal range or full-fledged vamp.

The white make-up you wore at Yaoi-con looked good, and you could just keep it on for good old Sephy later too lol from one super evil white-haired character to the next  :D

Yeah, I think I'll go a little paler than at Y-con (hard to tell in photos that I had makeup on at all ;_;) , but not zombie white out.  Yay stage makeup for all your coverup needs. <3

The thought that crosses my mind on your make up is just make sure you don't look like death warmed over? Then again....

And while Abel in normal form isn't exactly the most tanned of people (especially if it's one of those "sick moments"), it's the Crusnik form that gets paler. At least in the anime. 
Unless you're going for the Thores look, in which case, try not to look like death warmed over.... 8)
(And be glad you're not slightly allergic to the nickel in most make up....ugh.)

Been working on my 'collar of doom' for the mock up of my Abel cape today, and it's almost there. yeah! The manga crew complained in the back of the manga about drawing it, they should try making it!
At least it will look good when finished!!

It's going very well! I've got the muslin collar about 80% set to final.

I need to make the buckram support, then I can finish off the muslin work--so after that I can go to making it out of the real fabric with customized pattern pieces.

But before that, I'll go back to finishing off the vestments in muslin. I have those big cuffs to work out next.
And I want the whole ensemble to work together before I make the final.
Have to make a good impression on her Eminence, as well as the Orden.  ;)

Keep in mind this is all pinned and basted together muslins. And things are subject to more change as I keep customizing it.
I haven't done all the finishing work, of course. For example, yes there are slits in the back of the vestments and cloak, but they don't always show because I haven't clipped them out, and of course there's no finished seams anywhere.
And the front of the vestments aren't finished at all, nor the collar for it. I was working on the sleeve and cuff today.  :)

There's also other cosplay progress pics in there not related to TB, just in case you're wondering. (The swords aren't for Abel, although with Cain everything might help.  ;) )

Is your cosplay finished or in progress? And your friend that we want to cosplay as Ion?
Wonder about the others, too. How many are working on new ones?
(We know Cain's finished but upping the ante on props.  ;))

As for "white vestments"? Enjoy the (light beige) color muslin while you can, Cain. I'm so glad to give you a trip down memory lane, as it's surely not looking in a mirror, even if we are brothers.  ;D The final will be appropriately black and silver. When one has to build one's uniform from scratch, one has to make the pattern first. teehee

(And speaking of rework things, that's in progress for me, too. Those prop swords are actually for otherwise finished cosplays of Ukitake (paired shikai and a brand new normal zanpakuto so I have both versions) and Kenshin (reverse blade). Guess I can't pick on you for your repair work!)

by the way, do any of you know how to turn the wig into another color?

Dye. To change wig color I'd try dye. I know it works fine on clothes...Hair dye for a wig? Hmmmmmm Maybe... You should do more reseach on it tho'...

ugggg I pledge guilty to the last minute costume crime! :-[ Last year my costume was started and finished the day before Fanime...Tho' I had pick up some of the pieces before hand(ie. Boots)...It turned out really good though and I got complements!(that is from the few people who actually knew who I was...) This year I have started earily and it will be fantastic!!!!!!!

The wig forum on cosplay.com is the place to go for the wig coloring question.
Because wigs are not the same as hair, you can't use hair dyes, but there's some great techniques posted in there about what to use. I haven't dyed a wig yet, so I don't have any great advice to offer myself.

And too confess I've done last minute on another costume before...including 1 hour of sleep the night before San D Con's Masq...but that's a long tale and not part of TB....

First time posting here in Fanime Forum and first time attending Fanime.
And I found out about this gathering today...uu.

Looks like there will be a very exciting TB gathering in Fanime!

And..I am just wondering if the gathering could move to Sunday...
I know everyone has been discussing about this already and it may be too late to do anything at this moment but I though it won't hurt just to ask...
Or we will try to make this gathering on Saturday but it looks very very hard at this moment.

And our gathering could either be very exciting or very scary. Depends on how many RCO v AX we get?

As for 'more exciting'...I guess that depends on your definition of exciting, and which side has more members than the other.

I supposed I could be talked into running around on Sat and Sun afternoon as Abel easily enough, if that works for both groups that can't cosplay all on the same day. Can't let Cain get away with things, especially if there'll be more than one Cain!!
