Ok so I don't know any of you on a face to face basis.  I'd like to change that.   ;D

Would anyone be interested in coming up to Reno for some of our events / festivals this year?  We have a lot of really great events.  Hot August Nights (old cars and music), Best in the West Rib CookOff, Air Races, Baloon Races, Street Vibrations (Harley motorcycles).  We also have some really good arcades and restaraunts.

Most of the events aren't until August or September.  I figured I'd see if anyone was interested in advance.  I have a pretty big apartment (at least by my standards), I could probably fit 4 or 5 people here easily if you're willing to stay here.

I'll include some links to sites about the events and arcades in the area.  Let me know if anyone would like to come visit the Biggest Little City in the World.   :D

I always wanted to go to Hot August Nights. I can probably go the weekend after my b-day. And as for crash space, I'll take up on your offer. Just IM me sometime to work the details out lol

Haha... Vegas training.

I used to go to Reno all the time as a kid. I just know that they closed all of my favorite casinos (Fitzgeralds, Hudson, that one place with the 1.99 steak and eggs breakfast)

I went one year to Hot August Nights. Good luck finding a room. I also hear that the Nugget has an Italian festival or something near the end of summer. Not sure if they still do that or not, but my grandparents have a t-shirt from that event and a picture of them with John Ascuaga. (sp?)

Once again, if I can get a ride, I would love to attend something in Reno.

I did reservations at the Nugget one year during Hot August Nights...total nightmare.  It's hard to keep a straight face while telling someone that a room that normaly rents for 40 dollars a night is 185 dollars and requires a 3 night stay...each night at 185 dollars.  That's why I'm offering my apartment if anyone would like.

The Italian festival is downtown.  I think the El Dorado or the Legacy host it, but yeah it's another big event although I think it's in October.  We have Star Spangled Sparks, Basque Festivals, Art Town, Duck Races, State Fair, Reno Rodeo.  A lot of stuff really.

And John Ascuaga?  He's a local celebrity...but I honestly think he's an escaped leprechaun and all this time away from his people has made him a vile little monkey of a man...but that's just me.   ;D

I want to make it out to Hot August Nights this year and its looking like two choices if I can finish my car I will take it if not a friend wants me to drive his car up there so this might sound like a double win visist but time will tell.

Potentially bad idea. Unless you have a lot of floor/couch space. But then again, I suppose that this is Reno, and it is a little bit farther away than, say, Ukiah.

LOL.  I probably should have clarified that with my first post...I can fit 4 to 5 people, maybe one more depending on individual size and comfort with close quarters...after that you're on your own.   ;D
