Isn't "Anything that looks like or resembles a danger..." a little redundant?

not redundant at all. If it isn't covered in our policy, somebody will inevitably argue that their item is not covered under the policy.

In the 08 weapons policy say
Flail Weapons
"Flail weapons are not permitted. Examples of flail weapons include, but are not limited to, whipsfloggers, maces, nunchaku, and any weapon with attached moving parts".

Can someone help understand what is trying to say because I going as female Indiana Jones and I can't tell if you are allow to bring like a whip in my case. Just have on me the whole time in a whip holder. I pretty good following the rules. But I confuse about the policy. I have a another ? is do I need to get my holster peace bonding? But Have no gun in it.

So this will be my first time using a large prop in cosplay (And first time attending Fanime) so I am a little iffy on the rules. I did read them but I can't tell if my prop fits into the guidelines.

Basically I will have a 5'3" tall wooden Sitar (I'm going to be cosplaying as Demyx!)

Would that be unacceptable? It's not metal but it does have teeny tiny metal pieces on it to hold the guitar strings on. If someone who's cosplayed with large props before could help me that would be wonderful! x___x

(I also don't exactly know how one goes about peace-bonding. Also, what type of tag do they put on your prop when you do?)

this will be my first time cosplaying and I'm going as rokudo mukuro from kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! I already finished making my weapon. My weapon is a trident that is 6ft. long and is made entirely out of wood and i spay paint silver and black to look very much like metal. I'm very worried now, will this be acceptable?

I have a question that I'm hoping somebody would be able to answer... I really don't know where to post, but this seemed like a good spot.

Somebody... please... help me...

~A cosplayer newbie who knows nothing about all of this.

Since its made of wood and cardboard, I really don't think your going to have a problem, and if it turns out you need to tie it to anything, tie it to you wrist or something.

Other then that I love Rip Van Winkle from Hellsing!!! Can't wait to see you there!

Ehe... This is kind of a belated answer, but thanks very much, and it ended up working out fine. I think I ran into you at Fanime, actually, if you were one of the Abels... Your costume looked really nice ^^
