What happened to Hellsing Manga?

What exactly is going on with Hellsing the manga? It took a really long time for vol. eight to come out for it to stop once again. Has DarkHorse stoped it again or what?

Nope, Hirano is just freaking slow. And/or lazy.

Dark Horse is releasing vol. 9 in October.
You can read all the stuff past vol. 8 online. Even so, Hirano doesn't publish a new chapter every week. It's more like every month and a half.

Hellsing sorta takes a odd turn after volume 8, if you've read volume 9 and the latest chapters, a theme will kinda start to appear. PM if you want to find out, I won't post anymore because I'm afraid I might spoil it for you if you haven't read past eight.
